Two weeks later they arrived in Egypt. The pharaoh was waiting for them at the Palace. King Lue bowed in respect. "Welcome my old friend" the pharaoh said. "Hello Akhenamkhanen. How is your wife?" King Lue asked. The pharaoh looked down. "She died the day my son was born." Akhenamkhanen said. A man came in. "Oh hello king Lue" he said. "Prince Akhnaten" Lue said. "Not prince, priest." He said. Lue noticed his golden eye. "What happened to your eye?" Lue asked. "That is one of the Millenium items. They help protect this land" Akhenamkhanen said.
King Lue wished he had something like that. Then a boy a little older than Renita came in. He had brown long brown hair. "Ah Mahad" Akhenamkhanen said. "Yes sir?" Mahad said. "This is King Lue of Thailand. He brought his daughter for us to protect her." Mahad bowed. "You must be the prince" Renita said. "Oh no, the prince is in his class studying right now. I'm just his protector" Mahad said. "Mahad, I want you to protect her like you protect my son" Akhenamkhanen said. "Yes sir. Come princess, I'll take you to your room" Mahad led her to a beautiful room. Servants help her get her things to her room. She went to say goodbye to her father.
He hugged her. "I'll try to visit every year. I'll write you every day." King Lue said. Renita cried. "I'll miss you father" Renita said. "I'll miss you too my daughter. But remember" Lue started. "It's for my protection" Renita said. "That a girl" he said. Renita saw her father off. She looked until she couldn't see his carriage anymore.
She went inside and went to her room. She laid on the soft bed. She heard a knock on the door. "come in" she said. I was a girl younger than her. She had brown hair that was kinda spiked in the back. She wore a mini white dress. "Hello princess, I'm Mana" the girl said. "Hello Mana, I'm princess Renita" she said. "Oh, the prince is so excited to meet you." Mana said.
The pharaoh called Renita to the thrown room. When she arrived there was a boy who had spiked hair. It was red, black and blonde. He was dressed in very fine clothes. "Princess, this is my son. Son this is the princess of Thailand." Akhenamkhanen said. The prince walked up to her. "Wow, you look beautiful" he said. Renita blushed. "Thank you prince" Renita said. "it's an honor to finally meet you in person." He said. "Oh, yes. My name is Renita" Renita said. "Renita, that's beautiful. I am Atem" Atem said. "Atem, that's a handsome name" Renita said. The pharaoh could see there was an instant connection between them.
Atem and Renita would play together every day a long with Mana and Mahad. One day while they were playing Renita fell and Atem fell on top of her. They looked at each other. They blushed. "Are you alright?" Atem asked. "I'm fine" Renita said. Atem look at her beautiful eyes. He leaned in to her. "May i?" Atem asked. She smiled. "Yes" she replied. Atem kissed her. Renita had never been kissed before like this. She liked it. "Aw that's cute" Mana said. Atem broke the kiss. He got up and helped Renita up.
Now every time they played together Atem would take an opportunity to kiss Renita. Renita would often return the favor and kiss him. Mahad saw the relationship blossom. He could see they were in love.
A year later king Lue came to visit. "Father" Renita called as she ran to him. "Renita, how's my daughter?" He asked. "I'm well father." He said. Atem came by. "Hello king Lue" Atem said. "Ah Atem. My daughter has told many things about you in her letters" king Lue said. Atem blushed. "All good things" Lue said. Soon Renita went to change for dinner. "King Lue, can I ask you a question?" Atem asked. "Of course what is it." Lue said. "I know I've only know Renita a year, but I was wondering if you give me your blessing to ask her to marry me?" Atem asked. Lue was shocked. But he smiled. "Of course Atem. I can tell she loves you. You have my blessing. Please let me know when the wedding is." King Lue said. Atem agreed.
At dinner Atem sat next to Renita as he always dose. Akhenamkhanen was trying not to say anything about getting married yet since he knew his son was planning on proposing soon. "Son can we talk after dinner?" Akhenamkhanen asked. "Sure Dad" Atem said. "So how are things at home father" Renita asked. "Still the same. Your brother is getting more and more angry." King Lue said. "But somehow he found love. He's getting married in a couple weeks." Lue said. "Really Why didn't you say something in your letters?" Renita asked. "Because I didn't want him to try to hurt you" Lue said. "Oh right. Makes since" Renita said. After dinner Atem went with his father and Renita talked with her father.
"Renita, I can tell you love Atem. Charrish the love you have for him." Lue said. "Father. Can you tell me about mother?" Renita asked. Lue looked down. "Maybe someday" Lue said. Renita had tried to ask in the past about her mother. But it was always the same answer. A few days later Lue went home. As Renita was looking to see her father off, Atem came behind her and hugged her.
"You will see him next year" Atem said. "I know, but I still miss him. He is my father" Renita said. Atem turned her around. "Let's go to the garden. I want to ask you something" Atem said. Renita nodded. They walked to the garden. "You know that I love you right?" Atem asked. "Yes, and I love you Atem" Renita said. He took a deep breath. "I know we are young but I don't care. I love you more than anything. And I think I'm ready for this" Atem said. Renita was confused. Atem got on one knee and pulled out a ring with a Ruby on it. "Renita, would you honor me by becoming my wife?" Atem asked. Renita gasped in disbelief. She even started crying. "Of course Atem. I will marry you" Renita said. He placed the ring on her finger and stood up. He kissed her. She put her arms around his neck to deepen the kiss. He lifted her up and carried her. They were happy.

Fanficthis is my prequel to Yu-Gi-Oh: The Nameless Queen of Egypt. This story fallows Renita from before she was born to the day she died and trapped her mind in her millennium puzzle. I do not own the Yu-Gi-Oh characters.
