Yu-Gi-Oh: The Life of Renita

chapter four

One day a new priest came. He was alittle older than Atem and Renita. "May we present priest Seto. Raised by peasants he has risen to the top due to hard work. And now holds the Millenium rod." Simon said. "Welcome Seto, as the youngest priest you will stand along side my son" Akhenamkhanen said. Akhnaten was silent though the whole ceremony.

Atem and Renita were getting ready for the wedding. They knew it would be in a years time. Seto was willing to help in any way possible. Atem would take every opportunity to kiss his fiance. Renita was happy to be getting married. She knew she would no longer be the princess of Thailand, but the princess of Egypt.

A few weeks before the wedding Renita got a letter from father. He said Sy's wife wanted to come to the wedding despite her husband's disapproval. He said she was very sweet. Renita thought I'd be nice to meet her sister-in-law.

A few days before the wedding king Lue arrived. He had with him a woman about the age of her bother. She was pregnant but not super pregnant. Renita couldn't believe she was going to be an aunt and couldn't even be around it. "I wish my husband was as nice as you" her sister-in-law said. She said the only reason she married him was because her father forced her to. He may have loved her but she didn't love him. King Lue wasn't aware of that until just that moment. He felt bad. "Don't worry, I'll be fine" she said.

The day of the wedding arrived. Renita was dressed in a beautiful Egyptian wedding dress. She looked at her ring. "Today is the day" she thought. She went to meet her prince. "You ready?" He asked her. "Yes" Renita said. They made their way to the thrown room where everyone was in their best dressed. Atem and Renita walked up to the thrown. They kneeled down by king Akhenamkhanen. "We are here today to witness the union of prince Atem and princess Renita" Akhenamkhanen said. He took their hands. He took a knife and gently cut the palm of Atem and Renita. "Join your hands together" Akhenamkhanen said. They joined hands that were cut. "Do you vow to love, honor, and respect each other as long as you both shall live?" Akhenamkhanen asked. "We will" Atem and Renita said together. "Then as pharaoh of Egypt I pronounce you husband and wife. Atem you may kiss your bride" Akhenamkhanen said. Atem kissed his now wife.

He lifted her up bridal style and took her to their room. She was happy. He laid her on the bed. She pulled Atem close. He kissed her and embraced her. "Atem?" Renita said. "What is it love" Atem asked. "Would you want a child?" She asked. "So soon?" He asked. "Well you need a heir too the thrown. The sooner the better right?" Renita asked. Atem had a worried look on his face. "I know I need one but I don't want to force you" Atem said. "Atem, I love you. I want to be the mother of your children." Renita said. Atem agreed. They spent the night as a married couple.

The next morning Renita was alittle sore. She was next to her husband who was worried about her. He took her to the baths to help her. "You alright?" He asked her. "I'm fine love." She said. They took a bath together. He rubbed her shoulders to make her relax. She returned the favor by rubbing his when he was done. After a nice bath they got dressed. He went behind his wife and kissed her neck. "I love you Renita" Atem said. She turned around "and I love you Atem" Renita said. He knelt down to her stomach. "I know we don't know yet but, I can't wait to see you" he said to her stomach. She laughed. "It will be a while before we know" Renita said.

A couple months went by. She felt normal. She even went to the healer to see if she was pregnant. She wasn't. Renita was upset. But she knew it would take time. she went to their Chambers to think. Atem came in a few hours later. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her. He turned her around and knelt to her stomach. before he said something she walked away from him.

"Renita?" He asked. "I'm not pregnant" Renita said. Atem stood up. He hugged his wife. "We will keep trying." Atem said. He kissed her. She put her arms around his neck and put her legs around his waist. Atem took her to the bed and he embraced her. She wanted a child so badly. Part of the reason was because she didn't know her mother. And another reason was because she didn't have a relationship with her brother. She wanted a child to have that bond.

Atem wanted a child as well. But he didn't want to force his wife to have one. But he could see she wanted one badly. He was worried but did everything he could to fulfill that wish.

A few more months passed. Renita was getting frustrated. Then one morning she felt sick. She ran to the bathroom and threw up. Atem hear her throwing up and went by her side. "What's wrong?" He asked her. "Not sure. I'll go to the healer after I'm done" Renita said.

Later that day she went to the healer. She told her that she and Atem were trying for a child. The healer did a test with her urine. Hours later it was confirmed that she was pregnant. When Atem found out he was very happy. He kissed her stomach. "Finally" he said. "Renita, if it's a boy, can we name him after my father?" Atem asked. She smiled. "Of course" Renita said.
