Chapter Four: That Smirk.

***

Dehlia's POV:

My back is aching
My bra's too tight
My hips are shaking
From left to right.

My alarm woke me up at 05:30. I know, that song is very old. But strangely, it has a calming effect on me.
I get out of bed and do my usual 5 minute stretch routine then take a shower and change into a blue oversized hoodie and a pair of black leggings with black Vans. After that I quickly put my hair up in a ponytail, grab my bag and exit the room.I quietly tip-toe down the stairs and make sure I avoid the kitchen cause that's where they are. When I exit the house Damon's car is already parked on the sideway and I laugh out loud when I see him wearing a pair of dark sunglasses I bought him for his birthday two years ago.

"You look-"

"Don't. Say. A word." Damon cuts me off and starts driving.

"Okay," I say trying to hold back my laughter.

Since I'm not allowed to talk, I turned up the volume of the radio but apparently that's also not allowed seeing as he slapped my hand and turned it completely off.

"Fine, Mr. Grumpy pants. Silence then," I say sticking out my tongue even though he couldn't see me.

"Oh please. You can't even be quiet for two minutes."

"Yes I can! And I'll prove it."

And I did. I stayed quiet for two whole minutes but then I had to say something.

"You know, I should be the one who's mad at you," I say in a matter-of-fact way.

"See. You couldn't make it to two minutes." He says shaking his head slightly.

"I totally made it to two minutes. I timed it."

"Well you timed it wrong because I also timed it and you only made it to one minute and 50 seconds," he said now turning into the school parking lot.

"Whatever. I'm still mad at you."

"And why is that?" He parked the car and turned to look at me.

"I got groped last night because of you!" I huff and cross my arms in front of my chest.

"Oh please. You liked it".
And his smile is back.

"Yeah. I loved it. I loved it so much that I even slapped him for it," I say sarcastically.

"Don't worry about it. We had a little chat." He says in a very serious tone.

"What did you do?"

"You'll see." He says opening his door and climbing out. I follow him and we make our way towards my locker. We past a group of football players, including Keanu, and I sent him a death glare to which he just smirked.

Oh my motherfluffer! That smirk!
Calm down Dee! Don't show any weakness's.

I quickly look away, too scared that I'm gonna start blushing because that will be very embarassing.

The bell rings and Damon escorts me to my Math class. The class I share with Keanu.

"BYE BOO!" Damon says when he drops me off infront of the class.

"Bye, bae."

I enter the class and sit at my usual spot: second seat, last row. After about 3 minutes the whole class including the teacher was now present.

"Good Morning, everyone." Miss Evans says with a huge smile but no one really cares. They're all busy with their own thing whether it's talking with their friends, chatting on their phones or just sleeping. As for me, I'm getting my read on. And that's what I did for the rest of the period because poor Miss. Evans couldn't get control over the class and finally snapped.

"OKAY! EVERYONE SHUT UP!"

And there was silence.

"I think I know what the problem is. I'm going to give you assigned seats. We're going to sit according to test scores. And you're going to write the test now." She quickly spins around and grabs a stack of white paper and starts handing them out.

"You have 30 minutes left and I want complete and utter silence. You will not leave my classroom until I have received your test."

I quickly scan the test and sigh in relief.  This test is a walk in the park. The bell rang just as I wrote my last answer. I pack up my things and hand in my test then continue to make my way to my next class.

My other classes flew by and it's now lunchtime. I enter the cafeteria alone and make my way to our special table in the back of the cafeteria where no one can bother us. When I get to Damon I sit down and start stealing fries off his tray.

"Hey those are mine," he whines.

"They're ours dummy." I say giving him a big, toothy smile.

"So, did Keanu talk to you yet?"

"And why would HE talk to ME?"

"Because YOU slapped HIM"

"So? He's captain of the football team. He should suck it up and take it like a man," I say shrugging and taking half of his cheese and bacon sandwich.

"I don't understand girls. Wait nope, I understand girls, I just don't understand you. I thought that you were suppose to be drooling over Keanu not beating him up. I mean, you have had a crush on him since fifth grade."

"Quiet down you idiot! I don't think you understand this so I'll say it slowly. Crush talk. Is quiet talk. Okay? And I do still have a crush on him but I'm not going to make it obvious. His ego is already big enough. Plus, no boy has the right to touch me without my consent, even if he's my biggest crush." The bell rings just as I finish my sentence.

"Okay, well you let me know when he talks to you"

"And if he talks to me," I say standing up and exiting the room. Off to Science class I go. I put in my earphones while I walk to class which is on the other side of the school and take in the multiple couples kissing each other goodbye like they're never going to see each other again.

And there's that strange feeling again. It surely can't be jealousy. I once again ignore the feeling and enter the classroom.

The lesson started and everything was normal until the door opened with a bang and Keanu Collins entered the room. He searched the room and stopped when he caught my eye. And then, he smirked.

Damn That Smirk.
