A/N: I'm not sure if you guys have ever seen that art work (I believe it's a Tumblr post, but I saw it on Pinterest) where it features two matches and says something like: "We're a perfect match, but sadly matches burnt out." I know right, so tragic...
It's amazing how we can never really forget about some quotes even though we totally stumbled upon it by accident and we didn't know it was there the whole time until something else provoked that memory and then we realized we still remember the whole thing. Or is it just me? Hopefully not.
I believe it's the special connection you felt with the words at your first time reading it that makes it somehow unforgettable to you even after a long time. (Lol, shits went deep) This is why first impression is extremely important, right? (Am I low-key starting to sound like a conspiracy theorist? LMAO Thanks to Shane)
Anyways, back to the topic (just pretend as if we have one), this poetry of mine is basically inspired by that art work (I guess so). One time, it reappeared up on my mind and I decided to write something different but somehow similar (it makes sense if you think about it: different meaning but similar 'aesthetic' or feels?) to the art work. That's it, love ya!
Update: I found the post.
