Winter night and fairy lights,
Candle wicks are burning bright.Having to choose between
A knight she favours
or a chance to win a battle she frights-
Wait, why is the latter an option at all?Battles never cease coming to her nation,
But no Christmas night would be complete without the sight of that cutie pie.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N:
Hehe, just something cute I wrote around Christmas 2019. I hope it puts a smile on your face, cuz I did when I was writing it.
The idea is kinda cliché, I think. But I've never wrote anything so fairytale-like(?). I imagined, if I were to write poetry when I was a little girl, this is something I would've came up with. I mean, it shouldn't be just me who used to dream of being the sweetheart of a kingdom and having an enchanting love story with the most charming and able knight, right?
Speaking of princess, fun fact: my favourite Disney princess of all time is Merida from the movie Brave (probably my fav Disney movie too). There are so many things I LOVE about that movie. Medieval Scotland, fate and destiny, freedom... And a soundtrack which made me fell in love with Celtic music <3
Here's a picture I found on Pinterest (again), to fulfill your sense(s).
