The Opera holds a show tonight
In a hall of lustre and ageless splendor
For all who can pay; gentry and common alike
To tell a solemn tale of sacrifice and love tender. The seats are soft to ease you through the night
For a little comfort will be due as the candelabra takes light.
The curtains are raised to show an old opera
And a meager auction sale of its once respected treasures
The chiming song of a dancing monkey fades into un grand orchestre with small cymbals resounding.Courageous spirits and ghastly trolls!
Princes and princesses-
Myths foretold
The Opera is the magical place where
All that shouldn't be are brought to life.
And in tonight's "Phantom of the Opera"
A timeless mystique is once more re-told.A/N: WP Poetry Contest
