Chapter 14

"Why is it you...?" Shiho was shocked. It shouldn't be her.

But the blue flame guy attacked them again, "Give the rings back! They do not belong to Varia!"

His attack with a boomerang-like weapon was stopped lightly with one hand by this Alex. She just pushed him to the road side hard, which was caught by Shiho on time. He was unconscious. Yamamoto and Gokudera launched attacks on both the Varias but was defeated way too easily. 

"Takeshi! Hayato!" Shiho shouted. They were alright but has the time for inheritance come? The Varia was in Japan. There was no other reason other than that. But she could not tolerate the way they treated them. 

Shiho took out her daggers from the holsters on her thigh, ready to fight.

"Don't." Alex said, "You'll lose."

"Even so, I'll fight. You have hurt my friends, I won't stay quiet."

Tsuna was in his Hyper mode (again, only the underwear left) and attacked Squalo almost immediately. Shiho joined in but Alex was just too strong for her. Her attacks were all blocked easily with one hand. Tsuna was also having difficulty with Squalo. Alex gave her a strong punch on the stomach.

"I haven't moved an inch. Our differences in strength are too great. Give it up, Hime-chi."

Shiho couldn't move at all. "What happened... to you, Shina-nee-chan?"

She didn't answer. Dino came in at this time, bringing his family to Tsuna's aid. He knew about the attack. 

"No good, the Bucking Horse is here... Let's go Squalo. You have gotten the rings, haven't you?" 

Without saying anything else, both of them disappeared. Dino brought the injured ones to the hospital. Shiho didn't notice anything else beside thinking of Alexina. Dino brought her to Hibari's house as her injury wasn't as bad as the others. She went straight into her room. It was not like Hibari cared. 

"Shina-nee-chan is... Alexina..."

It made sense. She just appeared in front of Shiho as Shina one time when she was lost in the street when she was around 3 years old. She barely knew anything at that time and wondered around aimlessly. Shina had long hair and was very gentle. Shiho didn't know how to introduce herself yet at that time and she just called her Hime-chi, which means little princess. 

Shina left Shiho alone to buy something for her when her bodyguard found her. She only managed to shout thank you to Shina from afar. 

It was a miracle she remembered. Guess Shiho was the only one who called her with that name. That's why she could remember such a long ago meeting. Maybe, Alexina didn't yet know that Shiho is the Hime-chi she saved. 

She was strong, too strong for Shiho to handle. Will she be able to win? What if she lose?

"Oi." Hibari opened the door to her room, "Are you going to cook or not?"

"... Sorry." She went past him without looking at him and went straight to kitchen. There was no small talk like usual during dinner either. Shiho finally spoke.

"... Ne, Kyouya..."

"What?" 

"If... If you had to fight to death against someone who saved you before, what will you do?"

"... I'll bite whoever I want to death. That's all there is to it."

When Shiho heard his answer, she giggled, earning Hibari's glare. "Hehe... Sorry, but that's just so like you." 

Shiho won't hesitate anymore. It's pointless to keep on thinking. She knew that the fight couldn't be avoided. She can't refuse the fight either. Giving the boss seat was something that was not allowed. Her father was killed by Luciano. There was no way she could give up that to the killer's daughter, no matter how fond she was to Shina. She will get stronger in these 10 days.
