Jungkook knocks on Yoongi's bedroom door, hoping he would let him in.
Jungkook: Hey, Yoongs. Can I come in?
Silence. Jungkook feared that either Yoongi was ignoring him or he died in his bedroom after a week. Yes, it's been a week since the big fight between Yoongi and Jimin and all the boys knew about it. The whole week, Namjoon and Hoseok were assigned to help Jimin while Jungkook and Jin were to Yoongi. However, when Jin tried to talk to Yoongi, he got a glass thrown at him so they decided that Jin shouldn't be near Yoongi right now. So it was Jungkook's turn. He turns the doorknob and peaks his head inside the poorly lit room.
Jungkook: I'm coming in.
As Jungkook walks into the room cautiously, he makes out a dark figure sitting on the bed.
Jungkook: Yoongs? Are you ok?
He can hear Yoongi sniffle as he turns around to face him.
Yoongi: Do I look ok?
No, he didn't. In fact, he was definitely the opposite of okay. Yoongi's voice was horse and chocked as he swallowed continuously due to his dry and aching throat. His eyes were bloodshot and tear stains ran along his face. He probably hadn't showered in a while because he stunk and his daunt figure proved he hadn't been eating. Jungkook takes a seat at the foot of Yoongi's bed, making sure not to get too close to him without him feeling comfortable yet.
They sat there in silence for a bit, Jungkook not quite knowing what to say that wouldn't cause Yoongi to lash out. Instead, Yoongi spoke first.
Yoongi: Do you know that feeling when everything just...hurts?
Jungkook sighes, thinking back to when he and Taehyung had once fought and were on the verge of breaking up. He knew how Yoongi was feeling right now but it must've been ten times worse for him since Jimin wasn't listening to the truth of what really happened. Yoongi sits up and hugs a pillow close to his body.
Jungkook: It's been a week, Yoongi.
He ignores Jungkook and continues to blabber out random nonsense.
Yoongi: I feel so numb.
Jungkook sighs, slowly moving his body closer to Yoongi.
Jungkook: Is there anything I can do to make things better?
Without thinking, Yoongi gives a quick answer.
Yoongi: You can get me Jimin back.
Jungkook falls silent. He didn't know how to comfort Yoongi who literally lost his entire world. Yoongi takes Jungkook's silence as a sign to continue speaking instead.
Yoongi: It's literally only been a week and I'm already like this. You know, I have this constant feeling that I'm never going to forget him. The way his eyes pierced mine or his beautiful grin that always made my heart beat ten times faster. And what sucks is that it's only been a week without him and I'm already this bad. In the middle of the night when everything is quiet, I think of him. So I blast music to drown out my thoughts. And at times when I feel like I'm going to get over him, our memories come back and I'm sitting the corner of my room, tears pouring down my face and my throat burns because I'm screaming to the ceiling, begging myself to get over him. But I hope that I won't. I don't want to get over him. And that's the sad part.
Jungkook sat there in silence as he stared into Yoongi's eyes, trying to find any form of feeling in them. But all he saw was his own reflection in Yoongi's soulless eyes.
He suddenly thought of an idea. Jimin's talent show was tomorrow. Maybe it was a bad idea to do this but he knew Yoongi and Jimin needed to talk it out. And Jimin would definitely show up at the talent show no matter how shitty he was feeling too. Now, the only thing he needed to do was convince Yoongi.
Jungkook: Hey, Yoongi. Jimin's performance is tomorrow.
Yoongi sniffles.
Yoongi: Yeah, I remember. So?
Jungkook: So you should go.
Yoongi glares at Jungkook and crawls under his blanket, pulling the covers over his head.
Yoongi: No way! Jimin wouldn't want me there.
Jungkook takes a deep breathe and places a hand on Yoongi's arm.
Jungkook: You don't know that.
Yoongi: Yes, I do.
Jungkook: No, you don't. In fact, you don't have the slightest clue what Jimin wants right now because you two haven't talked. For all you know, he could be a mess like you are now and just wants to see you too.
Yoongi slowly pops his head out from underneath the blanket and looks at Jungkook.
Yoongi: You think so?
Jungkook smiles affectionately at his best friend.
Jungkook: Yes, I do. And the only way you can know too is if you go see him at his show tomorrow.
Yoongi goes silent for a while before he pushes the entire blanket off of his body and stands up from the bed. He staggers a bit due to lack of sleep and nutrition, but Jungkook reaches out to structure his friend.
Yoongi: Alright, I'll go!
Jungkook smiles with glee as he begins to push Yoongi towards his bathroom.
Jungkook: Great! But first you got to shower while I cook for you cause you smell like absolute shit!
Yoongi punches Jungkook's arm before sniffing his shirt, scrunching his nose at the stench. He rubs the back of neck and laughs awkwardly.
Yoongi: Yeah, I guess I really should shower.
Yoongi walks into his bathroom while Jungkook smiles in success, feeling happy for convincing him to come to Jimin's show. He honestly didn't think Yoongi would agree so easily. But I guess it was because Yoongi loves him so much. And that's what you do when you're in love.
You go get them back even if it meant getting your heart broken again.
••••••••••••
Okay, here's the deal. I wrote this in a rush cause I'm super stressed with school and my own personal life. I feel like I made a mess of my relationship with my best friend. And I don't know how to fix it. Someone help!P.S. sorry for the bad chapter. I know it's boring and sucks.
