Here's your reminder
that when the blood flows to your cheeks
and the corners of your chapped lips turn upward
my ribs rattle with the increased berating of my heart inside my chest
because god
you content, you happy
it gives me the ability to leave my itchy bedsheets each morning
your life brings me mine
your breath encourages mine
you heartbeat causes mine
you are the reason I am alive today
So here's your reminder
that even if I am a nobody
you matter to somebody
even if you feel invisible
I see you more clear than ever
that your lows are mourned
and your highs celebrated
because I live for you
I live because of you
and even if it that doesn't mean much
it has to mean something
you're the world in my dilated pupils
so if you were to stop spinning
what would I be left with
what would I be left as
for without you, my everything,
I would be nothing
