You walked kaneki home after he left Antieku that night, just to make sure everything went fine. He didn't go home alone, though he was shaken from the days events you'd managed to calm him down a little. Once again the change in your personality was shown in this scenario, time was you'd have been quiet and unsympathetic towards him, though now you tried to find something to say.

"I know it's disturbing, but life as a ghoul doesn't have to be filled with blood and entrails, you can live a peaceful life. Relatively speaking."

"But I'm not a ghoul, I'm a human." Kaneki muttered weakly, more to convince himself then yourself. You scratched your head nervously, unable to get it quite right.

"Kaneki, no offensive, but I don't think it matters. No human had a ghoul eye and a craving for flesh, nor do they smell like you do. I don't have the answers, but take some time to get your head around things and come back around to Anteiku."

"I'm not sure, I mean, Touka said this is Zodiac territory. I appreciate you taking me home but, are you gonna be alright heading back on your own,"

"Trust me, I'm the scariest thing that's gonna go bump in the night for miles." You decided it wasn't the right time to tell him you were Scorpio, you were still at least a little guarded. He'd always been human, always smelt like one but now he sniffed if something else, something not quite ghoul but defiantly not human either." As you got to his house he unlocked the door and stepped inside you wished him goodnight, leaving him with a few parting words. "You should eat, if you don't, it wouldn't just be you who suffers."

University was a bitch most of the time but it wasn't as big a problem for you, your mind was able to circumvent most problems. You didn't work harder but you did work smarter, you would have to if you had a hope in hell of finishing the course while also running Zodiac. Now you also had to keep an eye on Kaneki, it would be easy to have someone watch him but this was an Anteiku matter.

So it fell to you to watch the half breed, the artificial ghoul. He had mostly kept to himself since the incident and never really wanted leave, although he had managed to drag himself into Kami today. You were working on your lodger, a book you kept hidden. Inside contained the logistical information of Zodiac, although it wasn't the only one of its kind. You kept a separate book for everything, that way if you were ever arrested by the CCG there wasn't a master book that could bring down Zodiac.

Food wasn't a problem as each ghoul had to fend for themselves, otherwise it would be impossible to hide the predation from the investigators. It kept the attacks on humans down to a minimum and spread out, keeping CCG attention away from home.

You were mulling over what to do about Aries suggestion of war with Aogiri, it was a serious suggestion and not one to be taken lightly. You would have to assess every angle before committing to it, either way there were dire risks involved. If you attacked it was certain they'd be some heavy casualties on both sides, yet to be Pacifist if they attacked first could be the end of everything.

A strange scent caught your nose, not quite a ghoul but defiantly not a human either. It seemed kaneki had arrived on campus. Picking up your stuff you have a sigh and went to see him, he was at least getting out at least. Heading down slowly you noticed the scent was rizes, clearly Yoshimura was right in his theory. He'd warned you about the organ transplant he'd had, it was defiantly worrying times when a human becomes a ghoul.

Heading down the hall you looked out the window, there was kaneki with his friend hide. They seemed to be happy as if nothing had happened, though kaneki was visually subdued. They would be heading to class soon, so you decided you'd meet them there. The lecture hall was mostly empty but you sat at the back anyway so you'd be able to eyeball them where ever they sat, or at least that was the plan.
