We walked across the street to Michael's car. It was so quiet. I live in a town home and my neighbor is usually pretty loud so I'm not used to the silence. Michael sped up to get to the passenger door before me so he could open it for me. I smiled at him warmly.

"Thanks." I tell him.

"No problem." He's so sweet. So different.

Michael sat in the drivers seat and turned the car on.

"You like All Time Low?" He asked while pulling out a little CD case with at least 20 CD's in it.

"Of course they're on of my favorites!" I tell him. "Let me look through that?" I ask and point to the CD case.

"Yeah of course." He tells me and hands it to me. He has the best taste in music oh my god. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, The 1975, My Chemical Romance, Mayday Parade, YellowCard and the list goes on.

"Damn, you have a great taste in music." I tell him.

"Yeah? Well so do you if you think I do." He laughs. "So, where are you from again?"

"I'm from Melbourne." I tell him.

"I went there once when I was younger. It's beautiful."

"Yeah it is. I really like it there."

"I've always wanted to move there. When I went there I just loved it so much." We pull into the parking lot after a short drive. "This place is great I swear. It may not look like much but it's so good."

The place was called China Gate. It was really small and rundown but I decided to take Michael's word for it.

"You better be right about this place... It looks kind of sketchy..." I tell him.

"Well it's not. But careful for the rats, they don't bite but they sure can trip you." He says jokingly.

We walked in and the minute I saw it I gasped. It was beautiful on the inside. The had one of those waterfalls with the fish, It had a little area with a sign above it that said mini china and most of all it had tiny decorations of Chinese icons.

"I told you!" Michael said in a mocking voice.

"Ugh fine you were right, this place is pretty great."

I ordered wanton soup and Michael got orange chicken. He told me how his dad showed him this place when he was just a boy and he fell in love with it. He told me stories of the good times he's had here and the time he fell in the fish water and him and I laughed at his stories until we were both finished eating. He refused to let me pay for anything, which I appreciated. When we got back in the car it was silent besides the music playing through the speakers.

"Hey Mikey? I have a question..."

"Shoot."

"You don't think Alex would hurt me... Like since I hit him... Do you?" I asked timidly.

Michael looked over with soft eyes.

"Of course not. Well, I don't know. If me or Luke are there no but if you're alone, I honestly think he could."

We pulled into the driveway of his house and stepped out of the car.

"Thank you again Michael, I had a really great time." I tell him as we walk back to the house.

"Really Violet, it's no problem."

We stepped inside the house and both took off our shoes.

"Well I'm going to go up to my room now... Goodnight...."

"Goodnight. Hey wait! Me, Luke, Ashton and Calum are going for breakfast tomorrow, do you want to come?" He asked, sounding hopeful.

"Yeah sure." I smile and walk up too my room.

I change and slip into fuzzy shorts and a large t-shirt. Wow, my mom forgot to say goodnight like she promised.

Shocker.
