Chapter 8: Talking

Marshall's POV

I was walking to the north entrance to meet up with Bubba and maybe Fionna, when someone pulled me back. I turned to see the dumba** standing there behind me.

"You should have got suspended! Look what you did to my shirt!" he shrieked. I looked at his shirt it was a little crumpled from where I grabbed him.

"It's a damn shirt you can just iron it" I spat at him. He pisses me off, I should punch him in his stupid face again. It looks like he still had a bruise from where I hit him, I smirked at that. I pushed him away and left him, I went out the double doors and saw Bubba standing by a white Audi RS 8. I walked towards him and saw him standing with a girl that looked somewhat like him. She had long light brown hair with highlights of pink, she was wearing a casual pink dress with a silver belt around her waist and a pink headband that had a bow on it.

"Hello Marshall" he waved at me. I nodded and walked closer to them. "This is Bonnibel Bubblegum Gumball, she goes by Bonnie"

"Sup Bonnie" I nodded at her and she blushed, they were definitely siblings. They both looked the same and they had the same last name which kinda gave it away plus they both creeped me out. "How old is she?"

"I'm thirteen" she said proudly.

"Alright cool. Hey, have you seen Fionna?" I looked around but didn't see her then I caught a glimpse of her. "Nevermind I see her"

"Wait Marshall. I wanted to give you something." ugh. I kept an eye on where Fionna is while he got whatever. He handed me a box after about a minute, I opened it to see a red tie.

"Um thanks I guess" when did he even get this.

"The tie will help impress Fionna. She is quite a beautiful girl." that pissed me off, I grabbed his collar and pinned him on the car ignoring Bonnie.

"She is mine so stay away from her!" I let go of him and he fixed himself.

"I did not mean to offend you Marshall. I was just stating a fact." damn now I feel bad I was becoming possessive of her when we're not dating yet.

"Sorry dude, it's just she's my bestfriend" I looked over at her, she saw me and waved I smiled at her.

"It seems you see her more than that" I looked at him square in the eyes.

"You do not mention this to her. I need to let her like me then I'll tell her I like her" he nodded and went into the car with Bonnie. I walked over to Fionna and hugged her from behind, I saw her blush.

"Hey Marsh, do you mind giving me a ride home?" I smiled from ear to ear, I let go of her and took her hand.

"I'll always give you a ride" I noticed who she was talking to when the person cleared their throat. "Sup Marcy"

"I'll text you later Fi, just don't tell anyone" Fionna nodded and turned to me when she was gone.

"Ready to go?" she nodded and we walked to my car, Leroy must have dropped it off. I opened the door for her and she got in, I got in and started the car and drove towards her apartment. I wonder why they're still living there. "Hey Fio?"

"Yeah Marsh"

"Why haven't you moved yet? You know get away from that place and start fresh" I caught a glimpse of her looking like she's about to cry, I held one of her hands and squeezed it. "Hey it's ok. If you need someone to talk to I'm here for you"

"Marshall, turn here" I turned even though this wasn't the right street. "Okay now continue down here and turn after we pass three streets"

"Fionna, where are we going?" I pulled the car over after we passed the third street and looked at her.

"Turn onto the next street" I sighed and pulled the car back onto the street and turned, the street was covered by trees. After about 10 minutes we arrived in front of a house a little bigger than mine. I turned off the car and got out with Fionna.

"Are you going to tell me where we are?" I watched as she went and unlocked the front door. "Fio?"

"We did move for a little bit but kept the apartment. It didn't feel right to leave so we went back but we didn't get rid of this house just incase anything happened where we did need to leave the apartment" she spoke quietly while we walked inside and to the living room, which was the same size as mine.

"This house is bigger than mine and you have the apartment, how can you afford everything?" I knew they were rich but not as rich add my family but I guess I was wrong.

"Cake won't tell me" we sat down on the couch, she took out her phone and started texting someone I think Marcy. I couldn't help but wonder if she liked me.

"Fionna do you like me?" I blurted it out and quickly covered my mouth, she looked at me with a smile.

"Of course I like you, you were my bestfriend since we were younger" damn I just got friend zoned, I need to know if she liked me more than that.

"Nothing more than that?" please glob tell me she likes me more than a friend. She blushed and looked away, is that a sign she likes me more than a friend?

"I'm not sure yet. When we kiss I feel sparks but I'm afraid if we date and something happens it'll ruin our friendship" I got closer to her then grabbed her shoulders making her look at me.

"Nothing will ruin our friendship I promise you that" she smiled and of course I smiled too because she just makes me so damn happy, man did I miss her. "Now do you like me more than a friend?"

"Yes Marshall, I like you more than a friend" I kissed her on the forehead. "So now it's your turn to answer. Do you like me more than a friend?"

"Um that depends" I looked down so she wouldn't see me blush. "If I say yes, will you go out with me?"

"Not yet we have to get to know each other better again" not yet? So that means she will date me!

"I'll take that as a yes, so yeah I like you Fio" she smiled and hugged me tight.

"Well then we have to get to know each other so we can go out" I smirked, she's still the same girl I loved before.

"Alright let's start then, what do you want to know about me?"

"Favorite color, song, animal, anything" she smiled, she's so cute.

"Alright, my favorite color is red, favorite song is Young Forever, favorite animal is a wolf, favorite anything is you" I winked at her and she laughed.

"That doesn't even sound right" she continued to laugh, it was adorable. "But it was still really sweet"

"Anything for you" I took her hand and kissed it, she blushed. "Is there anything else you want to know about me?"

"Have you" she mumbled the rest.

"What was that Fio?" she sighed and spoke.

"Have you dated anyone?" I looked away, would it be bad if I said a lot of people. I'll just say yes to keep it simple.

"Yeah" we were quiet for awhile, it was awkward. "Alright, tell me things about you now"

"Okay, my favorite color is blue, you already know my favorite song, favorite animal is a cat, favorite anything is you" she winked at me.

"Trying to copy me?" she smiled. One thing kept bothering me so I had to ask her. "Did you really like Floyd?" she was quiet.

"At one point yes, but he changed" I looked at the clock hanging on the wall and realized that she had to get home soon, this is a great way to change the topic.

"Fionna we have to go, it's getting late" she nodded and we got up and left.

A/N:Hope you liked the new. Chapter nine will be up by the end of the week. Sorry for the lame chapter names and not describing a lot, I'll try to be more descriptive.
