The Misfit Safe House(The Hunger Games)

Chapter 2

A/N chapter two yahhh!! Okay do this chapter they are back in school so you get to see what they do. Something big happens in this chapter. It will affect the next chapter.

<Peeta's POV>

I dread going home today once I leave Johanna's but I have to. I kiss Katniss goodbye and say see ya later to everyone else.

I drive my jeep back to my small home. When I open the door of my home my mother immediately comes over to me. She hits me on my temple with a rolling pin and yells. "Were you with those idiots last night!" I stumble back from the blow.

"They are not idiots! You are your a bitch!" I scream at her

"You are a worthless son! You are a failure!" She screams. She pushes my back to a wall and hits me over and over with the rolling pin. She jabs it into my throat.

"Mother please I can't breathe!" She removes the pin but continues to hit my face with the rolling pin. She then stomps on my toes and hits my ankle three times with the dreaded object and then walks away. I fall to the floor and pass out but before everything goes black I think of Katniss.

<Glimmers POV>

When I wake up I have thirty minutes to get ready. I take my hair out of its messy bun. It hangs a few inches below my shoulders in messy waves. I take two side pieces braid them and clip them together at the back of my head and then curl the rest of my hair.

On my eyes I apply a light pink eyeshadow and black eyeliner. I then use my clump crusher mascara on my lashes. Then I apply a light pink lipgloss to match my eyeshadow.

I throw on a light pink blouse and a black pencil skirt. On my feet I slip on black flats with a bow at the toes. I spray some rose perfume on and then grab my bag and head out the door.

<Marvels POV>

I got a call from Peeta telling me he might be late to school. I just hope nothing bad happened.

I can't wait to see Glimmer today. I am planning to ask her to the party that Gale Hawthorn is having. I know we would go with the rest of the group anyway but I just love her so much I feel the need to show it.

<Foxfaces POV>

When I get to school I go to where we go every morning before school. Under the stairs in the big stairwell. When I get there the first thing I notice is Peeta isn't there. "Guys where the hell is Peeta?"

Marvel answers first. "He called me and said he was going to be late."

"Oh okay," I say still a little worried. I notice that Kat looks worried. "I'm sure he's fine Kat," I say trying to reassure her. She just nods.

<Peeta's POV>

This morning I went to the hospital to have my ankle checked out. I twisted it and I have a brace on now. That's why I was late to college.

By the time I get there our little group of misfits is already heading out to ours cars to quickly drive out to go get lunch. I know that they will know I have been abused because my face is so bruised and I'm limping.

When I reach our cars Kat runs over to me. "Oh my god what happened to you! Did that witch do this to you! Peeta you have to fight back!"

"I'm fine Kat. And I can't fight back she's my mother!" I say

"No Peeta she's a simple-minded bitch! And I swear to god I will kill her."

I just take her hand and walk her back to the group. They all just stare at me especially the bruise on my neck. "So where to for lunch," I say casually. Everyone seems to snap out of a trance.

"How bout subway. Quick and easy," Cato suggests breaking the silence. We all nod. We all get in our cars. Me, Kat, Annie, Finnick, and Foxface in my car. Cato, Clove, Marvel, Glimmer, Thresh, Jo in Cato's car.

When we get to subway we all go in like crazy people. Jo is on Thresh's back, we are all laughing hysterically, and not to mention Glimmer and Marvel are in the middle of a very passionate make out session. She has her legs around his waste and his hands are on her ass. We all order our sandwiches and then go outside.

<Johanna's POV>

When we get outside we all sit in our own spots. Some on the ground some on the hoods of the car and the there is me on the top of Peeta's car. We just talk and crack jokes. This is where we belong right here right now. Everything is perfect. All of us together. Nothing could ruin this.

<Cato's POV>

I just arrived at Cloves so I could pick her up to go to the party that Gale is throwing. When I pick her up we are at Gales within 5 minutes. The rest of the misfits are already there. Almost half of the college is at Gales house. Music is booming and there is alcohol everywhere.

Finnick of coarse has a stash of beers with him and is already drunk. "Hey guys ready to party!" We all scream ya! All night we make out drink and just have fun.

Later that night in the dorm

<Johanna's POV>

I am just about to go to sleep when my phone rings. It's Cato. "Hello?"

"Jo, I don't care what you are going you need to get to Thresh's house now," and then he just hangs up. I leave without telling Kat(roommates).

The only this on my mind is get to Thresh.
