The Misfit Safe House(The Hunger Games)

Chapter 28

<Jo's POV>

Peeta and Katniss just walked into my living room and Finn doesn't waste a second to speak.

"Okay first things first what is up with Kat?" Finnick asks. The couple smirks.

"No baby no pancreatic cancer just a low rate of breast cancer that is being removed on Saturday," Katniss announces. We all sigh in relief. I don't know what I could've done without her.

"Okay great news so anyway! I have had a great idea! We all know we are having some financial issues with all the wedding planning coasts and hospital bills that are soon to come with Kat and just everything so anyway my idea is, we all together split up the money and my a huge ass house and live in it together that way we are paying bills together." Finn finishes and I smile.

"I am all for it," I say.

"Pop the champagne cause we are all in this together!" Marvel yells in excitement. Glimmer puts reading glasses on and takes out her mini laptop. She starts to look at houses in the area.

"Found two," she says. We crowd around her computer screen. "The first one is really expensive though."

"The second one," Annie says. We all agree and put in an offer.

"Okay future here we come!" Cato yells. We scream like children. Clove gets out 5 bottles of wine from my cupboard. We drink and laugh and eagerly wait for a response from the home owner. Peeta comes over to me.

"Can I hold Sam?" He asks. I smile and nod. Softly I transfer Sam from my arms to Peeta's. Peeta talks to him and Sam smiles back. I actually start to cry because Peeta is so good with kids.

"Peeta, you and Katniss better not use a condom because you are going to be such a good father," I say crying.

"Thresh would of been a good daddy," Peeta says. I start to cry a little more. Peeta puts a soft hand on my back while holding Sam in his other arm. Katniss comes over and gives me a warm embrace. I grab her and squeeze.

"You're so strong," She says.

"Your even stronger," I tell her.

"I love you Jo."

"I love you too Kat."

"Lots of love," Clove states. We all join in a group hug. We are forever.

<Glimmers POV>

3 weeks later.

Katniss's surgery was successful. Even though she doesn't have her breasts anymore, we are a grateful family of misfits because she didn't have really bad cancer. Also we got the huge mansion Finnick adored. I am in charge of design, obviously. Marvel wants to give it a name.

We've decided on a short but meaningful name.

The Misfit Safehouse.

End of Book One
