The Plan

Just to let you know, Wu and Garmadon are young in this book. The look like their younger selves that fought in the Serpentine War. Also the head of the royal guards is the past master of earth. You'll see how it makes sense as the book goes on. Enjoy the story and comment on it please. 😊😉😎

The next day, King Clifford ordered every spinning-wheel in the kingdom to be burned, and so it was done. At dusk that day all the spinning-wheels were gather up and burned.

The three elemental masters stayed for a while, trying to come up with a plan to save the prince. Wu looked out the window, watching the fire consume all the spinning-wheels, and wonder what to do.

Garmadon and the master of ice sat near the throne, enjoying some tea. The master of ice noticed Wu's uneasiness and said "Don't worry Wu, I'm sure it'll all work out."

"Well a fire won't stop Nadakhan." Garmadon said, taking a sip of his tea. "I agree brother, but what will?" Wu asked and walked towards the throne.

"I'm not sure, but I swear, if Nadakhan gets that close to the prince again, I'll personally find a spell to turn him into a monkey." Garmadon said.

"So what are we going to do?" The master of ice asked.

"I don't know. It's not like we can just keep him locked up in his room forever, or watch him every moment of his life." Garmadon said angrily.

"Wait, what did you just say?" Wu asked.
"I said it's not like we can keep him locked up in his room forever, or watch him every moment of his life." Garmadon repeated himself, not looking at the look on Wu's face.

Wu was smirking and his brother finally looked at him and suddenly understood why he was smirking.

"No brother, we're not doing it." Garmadon said and shook his head. "Why not?" Wu asked.
"Because, we have our own lives and families we need to take care of." Garmadon said, he was obviously thinking about his pregnant wife, Misako.

Wu pondered this for a minute then said "Then I'll stay here with him." The others both looked at him like he was crazy, but they didn't object.
"Are you sure Wu, it could be dangerous, or boring." The master of ice said.

"I know, but the boy needs protection from Nadakhan, and the captain of the royal guards may not be able to protect him." Wu said.
He was right, the captain was a strong man, but even he couldn't protect Jay from Nadakhan.

"Okay, but never let him out of your sight and make sure no harm comes his way." Garmadon said and hugged his little brother. 

"I'll be fine brother, I will make sure no harm comes to Jay." Wu said, hugging Garmadon back.

Garmadon finally let go and said "Then we should tell the king and queen at once."

With that said, the three elemental masters left to tell the king and queen their cleaver plan.
