Into the Dark Palace

Hey guys, bad news I'm almost done with the story. 😢 There's only on chapter left after this one, also story if this chapter is terrible. Still, enjoy and please comment. 😊😉

Cole, Lloyd, Zane, and Kai quickly took Jay to the highest tower. They decided not to tell his parents yet. Instead, Zane and Kai went to find Master Wu. As soon as Wu was in the tower, and saw Jay, he knew he'd failed.

"It happened, didn't it?" He half asked half said.

"I'm afraid so uncle, it's all our fault." Lloyd said, looking at the ground.

"None of us could have prevented this," Wu said, his eyes lock on Jay, who was in bed. "Right now we need to focus on breaking the curse."

"How do we break the curse?" Zane asked.

"We must find Jay's true love, and get her to kiss him." Wu answered.

"Who's Jay's true love?" Lloyd asked, mainly to Cole since he knew Jay the longest.

"Jay didn't really have a girlfriend, but yesterday he met a girl who he seemed to really like." Cole said a smile on his face now.

"Who was it?" Kai asked growing impatient.

"Her name was something like Mya or Kia or maybe..." Cole said, unsure of her name.

Suddenly Kai remember what his sister said yesterday and finished Cole's sentence. "Nya!"

Lloyd and Zane looked at him for a minute, a little confused, before Cole said "Yay, that was her name. You know her?"

"Yay, she's my sister, and yesterday she was talking about meeting someone in the woods at dusk. And she most likely snuck away from the celebration to go to the woods." Kai explained.

"Then you must waste no time," Wu said. "I'll watch over Jay, while you four go and find Nya."

"Yes, except Jay's parents will ask why we are leaving." Zane pointed out to Wu.

Wu stroked his bread, obviously thinking. Suddenly an idea came to him. "Then before you all go, you must put the whole kingdom to sleep, until Jay wakes up." He said.

He looked at Lloyd and Zane who nodded. Wu, Lloyd and Zane used their powers to spread magical sleeping dust into the air. Sending everyone in the kingdom into a very deep sleep, just like Jay.

With that done, the four boys ran out of the castle and went to get some horses to ride. It was weird seeing everyone else in a deep sleep. Cole took Rocky, like always, Kai took a stallion named Flame, Zane took a mare named Shard, and Lloyd took Wisp. Soon they were on their way to the woods.

As soon as they got to the spot where jay said he was suppose to meet Nya, they spotted footprints. Footprints that were all way to big to be Nya's. Lloyd quickly knew what happened.

"Nadakhan has Nya." Lloyd said and they were all shocked, especially Kai.

"Then let's go save her!" Kai said in a determined voice.

"But where is Nadakhan?" Zane asked.

"He's probably at his home." Cole said, afraid to even say the name of the place for a minute. "At the dark palace."

"Then let's go." Lloyd said.

Soon they were riding all the way to the dark palace. They got off their horse and tied their reins to a tree branch. They they walked as quietly as possible to the dark palace. They were soon near the entrance.

"I see guards everywhere, but I think we can sneak in." Cole told the others. They nodded in response.

They got past the drawbridge without anyone noticing them. The snuck around the palace until they found the throne room. The room was in full celebration mode. Everyone had a drink in their hand and was dancing around to music. The boys saw Nadakhan on his throne with his monkey at his side.

"It's such a shame Princess Nya is missing the celebration." They heard Nadakhan say to his monkey. "Come my pet, we must go and check on our guest."

With that, he and the monkey left the celebration and headed for what the others thought was the dungeon. They followed, as quickly and quietly as possible.

Nadakhan soon reached the prison cell that held the princess. Kai was about to run out and fight Nadakhan, but Zane and Lloyd stopped him.

Nya's Hands were chained to the wall and she was seated on the floor. She wasn't injured, but her heart was breaking. She was never going to see Jay, her family, or any of her friends ever again. Just the thought of that broke her heart.

Nya's lifted her head up when she heard he cell door open. In floated Nadakhan, and his little monkey too. He was grinning ear to ear, obviously happy about her being here. Nya just wanted to punch that happy grin off his smug face. But, unfortunately, she could.

"Hello princess, I just thought you would like to know why you're here." Nadakhan said, still grinning. Nya said nothing in response.

"Yesterday you met a young man named Jay." Nadakhan continued, rubbing in his victory. "Little did you know, he was actually a prince."

Nya lifted her head back up, this was news to her. Was what this djinn saying true? Was Jay really a prince. He did say his parents were protective of him, and he did seem different that most of the village boys she knew.

"Unfortunately, poor little Jay had a terrible curse placed on him as an infant. At first, the curse was that her would die on his eighteenth birthday, but meddling Master Wu changed it to a harmless sleeping curse." Nadakhan said, he looked rather annoyed at that part. "And the only thing that could break the curse, was true loves first kiss."

Nya feel silent. Had Jay loved her that much just after one meeting. She felt strongly about him, but had he felt that strong about her?

"Well, I'd better leave you to get use to your new home. I hope you enjoy your stay." Nadakhan said as he exited her cell.

Nya sat in her cell, feeling tears coming to her eyes, when she heard something outside the cell door. She expected Nadakhan to continue his gloating, but to her surprise, her brother and three other boys walked into her cell.

"Hey sis, thought you could use some help." Kai said as Lloyd undid Nya's chains.

"Thanks bro, I owe you one." Nya said, getting to her feet.

"You can repay us by wake up Jay, we heard everything." Cole said.

Nya nodded and they all headed out. Once they were all out of the cell, they ran to the staircase that lead out, but was immediately stopped by the monkey. He screeched, which alerted the guards that they were there.

"I hate that monkey." Cole said.

"So much for the element of surprise." Lloyd said as they fought their way through.

Soon they were outside the palace, but not out of danger. Nadakhan teleported in front of them and pulled out a sword. Nya grabbed Kai's sword and started battling the djinn.

While Nya was battling the djinn, the others had their own problems. They had to fight his crew of minions. Cole was battling a giant woman, Lloyd was battling the man who looked like a skeleton with only two facial expressions, Zane was battling the snake man, and that left Kai with the monkey.

They managed to fight them off and they retreated. Nya and Nadakhan were no longer just battling, it was a full on duel. Each one blocked the others attack and couldn't get a solid hit on the other.

"Could use a little help here!" Nya yelled to the boys.

Cole saw this as his chance to get payback on Nadakhan for what he did to his best friend. He drew his sword and helped Nya with the evil djinn.

"This is for Jay!" Cole yelled as he hit Nadakhan with the fatal blow. Nadakhan died on the spot, his evil days were over.
