Peoms For Those Who Hate This Planet

I died today

I died today.

If I would've known,
I would have brushed my hair,
curled it,
pulled it out of my eyes
so you could've gotten a good look
at my face.

I would have smiled more at school,
beat up that person that called me ugly,
done better in my classes
and thanked all the teachers
for putting up with me.

I wouldn't have yelled so much,
or cried,
or held a grudge.
I would've turned out to be a better
person.

If I knew that I was going to die,
I would've apologized,
to my mom,
my dad,
my brother and sisters.
Tell them sorry for how I treated them.

I would've lived my life to the fullest.
Jumping off ledges into pools of cold water,
gone on that one roller coaster,
said yes to things offered to me,
you know?

I'd like to think I would've been more happy.

But I can't change that.

I died today.
