Your P.O.V.
The nurse leaves after removing one of my IVs and oxygen mask and I notice my phone sitting on the table beside my bed. I reach over and grab it, deciding whether or not I should text Jin to talk about Hoseok.
He needs help... but I also don't want to break his trust.. but if I don't tell Jin so he can help ... what'll happen then? Hoseok is the main reason that I have a little bit of happiness and if I lose him, I lose all of it... I can't lose him.. I have to tell Jin.
Y/N~ Hey Jin I'm awake and I really need to talk to you
Jin~ (Y/N)! You're awake! I'll be there in 5 minutes!
Y/N~ Thank you so much... but could you please try to convince Hoseok to go home for a little bit because I need to talk to you about some personal stuff and kind of...
Jin~ Yeah of course I'll text him
Y/N~ thank you
Jin~ anything for (Y/N)~
I exhale a breath I didn't even know I was holding and let my arm fall to my side. I hear Hoseok's phone ding from the bathroom and my heart rate speeds up.
I hope he won't be mad at me, but I had to... I just can't believe.. I never had thought of all people it would be him...
The bathroom door slowly opens and my eyes meet with a tearstained Hoseok.
"I-I'm sorry, Y-Y/N," he says before wiping his tears and turning towards the door. As soon as I go to speak, the door shuts behind him.
Hoseok... Why?
As I lay on my bed lost in my thoughts, I wonder how did none of us know this about him.
Knock.
Knock.
"Come in," I say and Jin walks in the door.
"Hey (Y/N)! How are you feeling?" He asks as he shuts the door and walks over to the chair beside my bed.
"I'm ok, but I'm really worried," I say.
"What are you worried about? Is everything ok?" He questions, concern taking over his face. I take a deep breath before speaking.
"It's.... it's Hoseok. He told me not to tell anyone... but I trust you to help him. When I woke up... I.... I saw his arms. He had scars lining his wrist... and some were new," I slowly and carefully say as a single tear trails down my cheek.
Jin's jaw drops as he takes in what I'm saying and concern with a tinge of sadness covers his face.
"I.. never thought that he would.. not Hoseok.. Don't worry, (Y/N). I'll talk to him," he says with his head on his hands.
"He's gonna hate me..," I say, wiping my tears on my arm.
"He won't hate you... he won't know you said anything.. I'll find a way to 'accidentally' find out so you have nothing to do with this," he exhales.
The room is silent for a few moments before a loud knock on the door breaks it, and Doctor Kang walks in with a police officer
"Mr. Kim Seokjin, could you please step out for a moment so we may have a word with Miss (L/N) about this incident?" The doctor says.
"Of course," Jin Says as he grabs my hand and squeezes it before standing up and exiting the room, shutting the door behind him.
"Miss (L/N), this is Officer Baekhyun. He's here to ask a few questions about what happened," Doctor Kang says as Officer Baekhyun bows and takes a seat where Jin previously was.
"Ok, so let's start with your name," he says, whipping out his little notepad and a pen.30 minutes later~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Thank you for your time, Miss (L/N)," he says as he stands up and bows before he exits the room with the Doctor.
A few moments later, Jin walks back in with a small container. He pulls the table over and sits it in front of me.
"While you were talking to Officer Baekhyun, I went to the restaurant across the street and got you some ramen," he says, a sincere smile on his face.
"Thank you," I say, realizing how hungry I am. I slowly and painfully sit up before popping the lid off and eating my ramen.
"How did you convince Hoseok to go home? It was like I was asleep, but I could here bits and pieces of what you all were saying. Mainly just him refusing to go home," I question after I finish.
"Its a secret," he chuckles.
"Awe come on," I whine.
"Sorry, (Y/N). You'll have to find out later," he says.
"Ugh fiiine," I sigh, laying my back against the cold hospital bed.
"The doctor told me that you'll be able to go home later tomorrow if everything goes alright," he says happily.
My eyes widen and a smile takes over my face. I've always hated hospitals.
I finally get to get out of here!
The next hour or two, you and Jin sat there and talked about random stuff until the sun was starting to set.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
"Come in," I say.
The door bob turns, revealing a certain Neko carrying a bag in his hands.
My heart sinks at the fake smile he has on, but then again. right now mine is fake too.
"I brought your favorite cake (Y/N)~" he says, sitting it on my table.
"Thank you, Hobi~" I smile brightly.
Jin's phone beeps and he looks down at it before speaking.
"I'll see you two tomorrow. I have to go," he says, standing up.
"Ok, bye," we both say as he walks out the door.
"Thank you for the cake, Hobi," I say, reaching over to the table.
"You're welcome. I'll get it don't take a chance on hurting yourself," he says, grabbing the cake and fork out of the bag. I held my hand out for him to hand it to me, but he opens it and gets a piece on the fork before holding it up to me.
"Open up~" he coos. My face probable looks like a tomato right now, but I manage to say,
"H-Hobi. I can feed m-myself," I skittishly protest.
"(Y/N), you're in the hospital. I don't want you to move anymore than you have to. Now open up~" he says. I finally give in and open my mouth.
A soft "mmm~" escapes my lips as I taste the wonder flavor of the cake, my anxiety vanishing.
Too soon, the cake was almost gone and I swipe the fork from him.
"Hey-" he starts to say, but I put the last bite to his lips.
"Now your turn~" I say innocently. His face turns a deep shade of red, but I guess he realized that arguing with me doesn't work and he slowly parted his lips and took the last bite.Hoseok's P.O.V.
Does she not hate me? Does she know what she does to me? Does she know she's the reason for my happiness? She the whole reason I wear this mask.
A purr escapes as I feel her soft hands rub my ears.
"I think it's time for bed. They said I could go home sometime tomorrow so I gotta sleep the time away so I can go home! You should go get some rest to" She exclaims.
"Haha, nice try (Y/N), but I'm not going home. I'll sleep on the couch," he chuckles before plopping down on the couch and sprawling out.
"That couch can't be comfortable at all, Hobi. You can sleep up here if you want," she says as she scoots over and pats the spot beside her on the surprisingly big hospital bed.
"Are you sure? I don't want to accidentally kick you and hurt you," I say as I cautiously sit on the the small couch. Most of the time I'm at her house anyway, and I normally sleep on the opposite side of her bed because I always have since we met and got class four years ago.
"Yeah. It'll be fine," she says.
"Mew~" I meow as I carefully sit on the edge of the bed and lay my head on the slightly raised mattress.
"Hobi, you're not gonna hurt me. I'm not a piece of glass," she says as she slides half of the pillow under my head and throws some of her blanket over me.
Stop it, Hoseok. She thinks of you as family. It can never happen.
My thoughts are interrupted and she, once again, runs her hands over my ears and lightly scratches behind them. The beanie I was wearing was really thin, so I could feel the warmth from her touch I craved.
I slip off into the dream world with (Y/N)'s back against my chest and a feeling of contentment enveloping me.Your P.O.V.
I hope I helped him be a little happier... He's so scared that I'm gonna break like a delicate flower. I'm already healed most of the way, but at the moment, I just want him to be happy...
