Kane had put Ashley in the basement of his house as down there she wasn't a threat to anyone but herself. Leto had had a chat to him and Lily about what to do whilst Eva was sat on the stairs waiting. With her head on her hands she starred in front of her at the wall. She was very deep in thought when Kane's oldest son approached her. The boy smiled at her and asked, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine" Eva told him as she gave him a small smile.
The kid laughed and sat next to her, "Have you met the woman we've got here?" he asked.
"Yes a few times"
"Huh, well she kidnapped me not long ago" he told her.
"Did she hurt you?" Eva asked.
The kid shook his head, "Nah, she shouted at me a fair amount and threatened to kill me but she never hurt me"
"Good" Eva replied.
"So how do you know her?" the boy asked curiously.
Eva thought about her answer before saying, "We used to be very good friends growing up, plus I helped free you from her"
"She hurt you didn't she"
"A bit"
"Where?"
"She...she wounded my stomach"
Kane's son looked at her and seemed confused, "So why aren't you bleeding anymore?" he questioned
"She also healed me"
"Does that make her a good person again because she healed you?"
Eva looked at him and shook her head, "No it doesn't, she kidnapped you, hurt your family and tried to murder me she isn't a good person"
"Can she be made good again?"
Sighing Eva shrugged, "I don't know"
"You're a good person though aren't you?" the boy asked.
Eva shook her head, "I'm sorry Kid but that isn't true at all"
Kane's son looked at her scared and asked nervously, "Then why hasn't Dad got rid of you?"
"Because I...I've earnt some trust with your Dad and Leto"
"How can you trust a bad person?"
"You shouldn't, if you know someone is bad then you need to stay away from them. One day your paths may cross but as long as you have a group of good friends you'll be okay"
"Is it because Dad is friends with Leto that's why you are here with them, and I'll be okay around you because everyone else here is good?"
"I wouldn't hurt you anyway but yes, everyone around here is capable to protect you if things went wrong"
The boy nodded his head, "I know you said you're a bad person but I don't fully believe you"
"You don't huh?" Eva asked confused.
"Nah if you were a properly bad person you would have hurt me and wouldn't have helped getting rid of the Abbey Leader"
"Just don't be too quick to judge others okay?" Eva sighed.
"I won't" the boy smiled back at her. The pair fell into silence and Eva looked back straight ahead of her until she felt something on her side. Slightly jumping she looked down and saw the boy resting his head against her and he was completely relaxed. It shocked her considering she did just tell him she was a dangerous person to be around. But still she smiled to herself and let him remain against her as she waited for Leto to come and tell her what their next course of action was.
