Imprisoned

Chapter 15

"He was dead" Eva stuttered as Josh continued to walk towards them.

Leto sighed, "He regenerates himself, which means we obviously didn't kill him enough to make sure he didn't come back"

The trio moved back slightly not knowing what to do, none of them were really in good combat clothes. Eva looked down at her feet as she wanted to grab her knife but in heels she didn't have it on her. She found it typical that the one time she didn't carry any proper weapons on her she needed them.

"You're not prepared are you?" Josh smiled at them when she saw Eva's disappointed look.

"You should have remained dead" Eva growled threateningly, "This time I'll make sure you don't come back"

"You will?" Josh laughed, "Now forgive me if I'm wrong but weren't you stabbed last time? By the way that went it appears you aren't the best fighter"

"That was my fault" Ashley told him.

"Oh my, I didn't recognise you there Ashley you be certainly changed...for the worse of course" Josh told her.

Leto glared at him, "You're wrong there Ash has returned to her old loving self"

"Well what's the use of being loving if you're going to die anyway?" Josh asked. The trio glared at him and out of nowhere he took an almighty punch at Leto. The force threw him backwards onto the tarmac. His body hit the concrete and it happened with such a force he smacked the back of his head. The world around him became distorted and blurry, slowly he slipped down and his eyes shut.

Ashley shot a large beam at Josh which he redirected and sent straight into Leto. His unconscious body moved when the energy was sent into him but he didn't wake up. Her face fell in horror and she went to send more light energy at the aggressive man but Eva stopped her. "Using your powers won't work he can just use them against you" she told her.

"Then what do we do?" she asked frantically as she watched Josh moving towards Leto.

Eva suddenly had an idea, "Distract him for me, I have a plan but I need to get close to him in order for it to work"

Ashley gave her a look but nodded her head even though she wasn't sure what Eva's intentions were. Moving quickly towards Josh she gained his attention away from Leto by slapping him. Josh glared at her and lunged for her throat before grabbing her tightly. The older twin struggled for a while until she realised she couldn't break free from this. Josh's grip on her was tight and it was only becoming more firm the more she tried to break free from him.

Away from them Eva has seen what had happened with Ashley but she was ready. Teleporting behind Josh she grabbed the ring and stuck the hypodermic needle into the back of his neck. She didn't have enough poison for it to kill him like her target but what she hoped was it would make him less able to fight back.

Josh furiously dropped Ashley and turned around and wacked Eva in the side sending her falling close to Leto. With shaking arms she pushed herself back up and onto her feet. The Abbey Leader moved swiftly to her and grabbed her just like he had done to Ashley by the throat.

"What did you do to me?" he spat.

"Y-you'll...s-soon find...out" Eva choked back.

Josh went to hurt her but then felt his muscles begin to twinge and going strange. Dropping Eva he looked around and saw the ring on the floor with the needle sticking out of it.

"You..." he growled at Eva as he turned to her.

She was stood next to Ashley and the pair looked at each other before shooting light and ice at him. He tried to grab it but couldn't get his muscles to work quick enough so he was hit by both attacks.
