"Oh hey trannie.""Oh look fagot's near by as well."
I looked over to see Evan on one side of the hall, and Eric on the other.
They were both gay, but the difference was Eric wore makeup and Evan didn't. I knew exactly which statements were directed at each person.
I slammed my locker door shut. Hard.
Out of these corner of my eye I could see Evans face fall.
Mason was the one who'd said it, he was just a clearly insecure douchebag.
I stomped over to him. "First of all Eric isn't trans you uncultured swine, second of all how dare you fucking use those terms." I paused and smirked at him. "And third of all," I then drove my fist into his nose which immediately began to gush out blood.
"Natalia..."
I sighed, my eyes traveled to Mr. Davis who was leaning against a set of lockers outside his door.
"I'm sure you know what happens next." He said walking over to us, I was smiling while Mason's eyes were tearing up like a little baby.
"You two. Office. Now." He said, placing a hand on his forehead since neither of us had made any effort to move.
I walked with a skip in my step while Mason trudged along clutching his face. "You stupid bitch." He muttered.
"You stupid homophobic asshole." I retorted.
"Okay enough." Mr. Davis said. "And I'd shut it especially if I were you because you were just caught using homophobic slurs which, from what I know, isn't tolerated in this school and can get you terminated from the soccer team in an instant."
"And you Natalia, just may have given a kid broken nose so-"
"Oh yes, and I have not an ounce of regret in me."
"And you have officially become one of my favourite students." I heard him whisper under his breath, and I smiled triumphantly.
When I watched Mr. Davis as we walked, I couldn't blame the girls for throwing themselves at him. He was attractive, and him agreeing with me brought it to my attention. He was smart. I appreciated being acknowledged when I was in the right, which was often the case.
--
As it unfortunately turned out, Mason's nose was not in fact broken.
The school, didn't want this turning into something big so we both got off. I got two weeks of detention and had spent the rest of that day in the office.
Mr. Davis's class was designated for my detention, and Mason's was with our Math teacher Mrs. Smith.
When Mason's mom came to pick him up I expected her to yell at me and glare, but instead her glare was directed at her son.
"What is your name?"
"Natalia."answered nervously, I became a little worried that they'd press charges.
"Thank you so much."
That took me back a little.
Mason scoffed. "Are you serious?! She punched me in the face!" He said, the bloody cloth pressed against his nose slightly muffled his words.
"Yeah, And you completely deserved it. Using homophobic slurs like that, I cannot believe you!" She snapped, running a hand through her light brown hair."I thought I raised you better than that. You're grounded."
