Wednesday and Thursday go by in a lazy uneventful blur and today I find myself breathing relief like a fragrant scent.

I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my first term in this hell hole. Just three more to go and I'll be done with high school forever.

It seems as though Thandi's plan only went as far as a bunch of girls spreading rumors about me and drawing to stupid hair brained conclusions about my involvement in the Bridget saga.

I expected much from her. The only thing she's good at is talking smack about people and overestimating her own importance. She has an ego the size of a blimp. She's clearly proved that she's not a threat and maybe the little sliver of fear I feel whenever she looks at me is purely irrational.

President my foot!

I finish tying up my shoe laces and look up to find Natasha on the far side of the changing room on a bench, her legs crossed and her fingers moving swiftly over her phone.

Unlike everyone else who we share a PE period with, we all have to take the bleep test again.

Bridget is nowhere in sight though. In fact I haven't seen her since that fateful Tuesday morning when she introduced her elbow to my belly. It's kind of weird seeing Natasha without her. They always seemed to be having a good time with each other, what happened to them was really sad.

Natasha abruptly looks up and makes me snap out of my daze and an indistinguishable look mars her soft facial features that has panic welling up in me. Deciding to take that as my cue to leave in order to prevent a really awkward situation, I hurriedly stalk over to the door of our changing room but she quickly intercepts me before I can open it.

Her chest heaves up and down in front of me.

I look at her in confusion. "What are you doing? Mrs. Tyler's going to kill us if we're late," I inform her because clearly she missed the memo.

She shakes her head vehemently and spreads her arms and legs across the span of the door.

When I reach for the exposed door handle, she pushes me backwards.

"You can't go outside," she shakes her head again and I roll my eyes, quite fed up with this. The sooner we complete that bleep test, the sooner I can go home and do nothing.

"Listen I don't know what you're up to but I would really like to go home as soon as possible so..." I nudge my head to the side, telling her to move.

When she doesn't do as I ask, I grab a handful of her shirt and yank her away from the door. I refuse to feel bad due to her smaller and thinner stature but she left me with no choice.

She looks at me with wide eyed shock and I give her a tight lipped smile but that quickly fades when I open the door.

Everything happens in slow motion. From the pink liquid that falls over my head to the pink glitter that soon follows after, the bright blinding flashes, the evil cackles and the worst part...
