Charlie and Isabella made a really cute couple.

This is the single thought running through my mind as I hold up my handiwork, the one half of the picture with Isabella on it and the other half with Charlie now finally taped together in the middle.

I could have done a better job but unfortunately this is the best I could do and now it finally shows who the muscular arm around Isabella's waist belongs to.

A blonde haired boy with bright green eyes and freckles smattered across his nose. He's looking at Isabella lovingly and the smile just shows how happy he is to have this girl, my twin sister, in his arms.

I feel tears welling up in my eyes as I look at the two young people whose lives ended way too soon, but a part of me is glad that at least Isabella had someone in her life who loved her very much. Someone who didn't judge her for her poor life choices, someone who decided to see beyond her outward appearance and tried his best to keep her happy.

I wish they were both somehow alive but even I know that's a wish that could never come true.

A figure comes to stand in front of me and then kneels at the foot of the bed to gently place a hand on my knee.

"You know, I could never bring myself to understand how someone like Charlie could ever love a person like Isabella. Their relationship just never made sense to me but then I met you and by some miracle you fell for me as hard as I had fallen for you and that didn't make sense either. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how lucky I am that you do. It then made me realize how poorly I had judged your sister.

Because just like me she was fighting her own demons but she too had someone like you by her side. I wish I had supported their relationship and tried to see what he saw in her, maybe the both of them would still be alive," Ethan says with his shoulders slumped forward and a guilty look on his face.

I hate it when he blames himself like this.

With one hand I clutch the picture and run the other through his thick dark locks of hair. He looks up to meet my gaze and I give him a tight lipped smile.

"We can't change the past Ethan, we just have to keep moving forward and take life in stride," I say as my hand drops to his stubble lined jaw and I run my fingers over it.

Ethan nods, his eyes closing for a brief moment. He takes my hand in his and gently kisses the inside of it before standing up to effortlessly pull me up from the bed and onto my feet.

"We should get going now, before your mom starts thinking we've run away together or something," he smiles at me. I chuckle at his statement regardless of how true it is and slip the photo of Isabella and Charlie in between the pages of my book of quotes.

Speaking of which...

"Could you please just give me a second I need to get the camera," I tell Ethan before quickly scampering off to my closet. I promised Lexi a whole bunch of pictures and she also made me promise to use the camera despite my lack of knowledge on how to operate it, fortunately Ethan does. I return a minute later with the object draped over my neck and find Ethan leaning against the door of my closet.
