"So Cleo tell me, what do I do about the whole Jack and June thing? I mean, I feel kind of bad that I'm jealous of my best friend but...it's Jack. You know just how irresistible the Rhodes boys are don't you?" Amy asks me as we cross the busy street to get to the other side.

I swallow nervously.

I pretend to not have heard. That is a question Lexi would be more qualified to answer. She's a self-proclaimed relationship guru and there is one Rhodes boy I'm specifically trying to avoid thinking and talking about.

"Cleo did you hear me?" Amy asks, gently nudging me on the side with an elbow.

"Hm? Did you say something?" I ask with raised eyebrows.

Amy opens her mouth to speak but before she can ask any further questions, June bolts out of the boutique with tears leaking out of her eyes. She runs straight into Amy's arms when she sees her. Amy looks at me with wide open eyes and I raise my shoulders and let them drop, unsure of what's going on.

"June Bug, what's wrong?" Amy asks in a gentle voice, running a hand over her friend's back. June sputters something amidst all the sobbing and the only words I catch onto are car and something that sounds like Poco? Poncho? Maybe even Pogo?

Whatever it is that June said, Amy seems to have heard absolutely clearly. "Her puppy was run over by a car," Amy explains and I frown, feeling sad for June. She sputters something else and once
again Amy translates "Poncho was only four months old," she says.

"I'm so sorry June," I let her know although I'm pretty sure nothing I say at this point will help in any way.

"Cleo, we're just going to take a walk for a while I hope you don't mind. Sorry for--"

"You don't have to apologize I understand, take all the time you need. I'll just go inside if that's okay?"

Amy nods her head. "Thanks Cleo," she whispers and June mutters something else. "June says thanks too," Amy translates before she removes her arms from around June. She takes her friend's hand in hers and the two start walking down the sidewalk, June resting her head on Amy's shoulder as they walk away.

And suddenly it doesn't matter what one had called the other or who Jack ended up dating, those two are best friends. They will survive, they will be okay and I know they'll figure everything out together.

I walk into B Boutique, curious as to what the B even stands for. I'm immediately drawn to all the trendy clothes they have in here and a bonus is that they have everything in every type of size.

I send mom a text letting her know of my whereabouts and where she can find me when she gets back into town.

She calls immediately.

"This is a sign, please do some retail therapy for me? Heaven knows I need it after the day I've had," she says as soon as I pick up her call. I laugh into the line. "I'll try, but you have to pay me back though," I reply, scouting the dresses on the far side of the brightly lit shop with it's spunky navy, pink and green color scheme.
