<Jack>
We have been working for four days straight so far. I have pieces of dirt under my fingernails that will never come out. Jaeden comes and helps everyone in his free time and helps clean the house. He also helps Wyatt and Jeremy whenever he can. He does a lot and doesn't like to admit it. He decided that every four days we could get a break. Today was our first.
Finn and I were sitting together lazily on the couch. I was laying on his lap and he was playing with my hair. Everyone was elsewhere and we didn't care. Because right now all that mattered was that it was just Finn and I.
An idea comes to mind. "We should do something." I sit up and he examines me.
"Like what?" He questions. I lay my head on his shoulder.
"Like..." I trail off. I stand up and he watches me. "Tag." I tag him and run. I was not wearing shoes and that's my biggest regret.
I race out the door and I head to the yard. It's miles of free acres to run. I make sure to stay away from the garden and I run to the hill near the creek. Finn is on my tail and he catches up to me in record breaking time. I feel him tag me and we stand there, panting, on the top of the hill. I try to tag him and I miss. I try again and miss again so this time I jump on him. He lost his balance but he caught me. Together, we rolled down the hill. When we reached the bottom I laid on top of him.
We were both hysterically laughing and this moment felt perfect. "Tag." I grin. He shakes his head and kisses me. I get up again and start to run but this time my feet weren't exactly with me. I feel my ankle twist and I go down. I hear a crack and pain rushes through me. I grab my ankle in agony and Finn comes running.
I have never felt a pain worse than this. I wanted to cry, I could feel the tears in my eyes. "Jack!" Finn screams. He falls down next to me and looks at my leg. I see him gag and look away. "Come on, we got to get you inside." He scoops me up and carries me inside. Jeremy and Chosen were downstairs reading on the couches when they see Finn carrying me.
Tears were running down my face and this was the worst pain I've ever been in. Chosen and Jeremy stand up and make room for me. Chosen takes a pillow and places it under my foot.
I watch Jeremy gag like Finn had and look away. I didn't have the guts to look at my injury, I already knew it wasn't too pretty. "Someone get Jaeden!" Finn yells.
"Why Jaeden?" Jeremy questions.
"Because he always knows what to do." He snaps. Jeremy sprinted up the stairs and Chosen went to get ice. "We need to pop it back in place." (A/N ;) )
I got wide eyed and shake my head. "Hell no!" I scream. Jaeden comes sprinting down the stairs followed by a frazzled Wyatt. Jaeden plops down in front of me and has the first aid kit in his hand. He looks at it and gives me a sympathetic look. Finn holds out his hand and I grab it.
Jaeden's not a doctor. Jaeden's not a doctor. Jaeden's not a doctor. "Please count down." I beg Jaeden. He positions his hands on my leg and it stings. I squeeze Finn's hand.
"1..2..-" without a three he pops it in place. A high pitched scream escapes my lips and I squeeze Finn's hand as tight as I could. Sophia comes tumbling down the stairs because she fell and Jeremy covers his ears.
"What the fuck happened to three?!" I yell as loud as I can.
Jaeden looks up at my face which is now caked in tears. "It's better when you don't expect it." Jaeden calmly states. I was about to yell at him but he grabbed a wrap from the bag. He wraps it several times and then places a thicker wrap. He places the ice on top of it and digs out pain killers. Sophia grabs me a water and Jaeden hands me the pills. I take them without hesitation.
