I'm not sure if I could go back and watch some of Season 1 simply because the characters were all assholes to Pip, even Chef! I feel like that if the boys grow up, they'd eventually grow some compassion (not talking about Cartman, just the others) and start to regret the way they treated Pip as kids. During one of Kenny's deaths, he meets Pip in heaven and tells him that him, Kyle and Stan all feel guilty and apologise for being jerks in third grade. Pip's just happy to have Kenny be nice to him so he forgives the boys. When Kenny comes back to life the next day, he tells Kyle and Stan that Pip accepts their apology. Stan and Kyle just look at each other, confused as to wth he's talking about XD

It was actually Butters who first mentioned it. During one of Butters and Kenny's meaningful discussions, Butters mentions that he wishes he got to know Pip better. this made Kenny feel guilty, since Butters and Dougie were the only ones who were nice to Pip, while Kenny, Stan, Kyle and of course Cartman were all jerks to him. This is what motivates Kenny to go talk to Stan and Kyle about it the next day. they all agree that they shouldnt've treated him like that. then the bit with Kenny meeting Pip in heaven happened shortly afterwards.
