Erin's POV
"What would you like to eat, Thomas dear?" Gran said without looking at Tom as she prepared a full English breakfast when we got into the kitchen.
The others sat around the table in their dressing robes half way through their breakfast and Grandpa sat in his arm chair with his morning paper and coffee as usual.
"Good morning" I greeted everyone. Taylor shot us a look of mischief with a matching smile and wiggling her eyebrows in a suggestive manner.
"I'll just have what every one is having, Mrs err..." Tom trailed off unsure what to call gran.
"Mrs Brown, dear. But please call me Anne" Gran turned around and smiled at Tom in a motherly way. Tom returned her smile and sat down at the table next to me.
"Tea or Coffee?" I offered to Tom as I stood up to prepare some.
"Coffee, please. Milk with one sugar." He flashed a bright smile at me.
"You on a diet?" Taylor asked boldly which just made Tom laugh brightly. Taylor feigned an innocent look when we shot her a glare.
"Not as such, no. I just have to think about what I eat."
"Aww you poor soul. You never pig out, then." Taylor stated
"You can't say that. Not everyone is as greedy as you" Adam retorted and taylor just stuck her tongue out childishly.
"To be honest, I do at the end of the competition. But not before because of my training." Tom smiled at me thankfully as I set the coffee down in front of him.
"What do you in training?" Once Taylor gets curious. There's no stopping her.
"I spend 50% of training in the pool working on techniques and the other 50% on dry land. I learn all my flips on a trampoline or a springboard and a crash mat before applying them on water. I also do gym work like weights, core stability and then an hour of physiotherapy everyday."
Gran placed Tom's breakfast in front of him as everyone listened to him intently
"How many hours do you train then Mr Daley?" Taylor put her elbows on the table and rested her head on her palms.
"6-7 hours a day. I go to school for a couple of hours, then go to training for 2 hours, then back to school for 1 lesson then an hour of physio, back to school for a couple of lessons then back to training for 2-3 hours again." Tom said casually. Everyone looked at him with wide eyes but he just shrugged and tucked into his breakfast.
"You hardly have time for yourself!" Taylor exclaimed
"I finished early on Fridays and I have the Sundays to do whatever I want. But now that I don't have to go to college I train for 3 and half hours in the morning, have 2 hours free then back to 3.5 hours in the afternoon and in the middle is a physio session." Tom said in between mouthfuls.
"Where did you say you slept last night, son?" Grandpa put down his paper and looked at Tom seriously. Grandpa had a look on his face that said Tom must meet all Grandpa's expectations before opening up to him like Gran clearly has.
"I didn't say, sir" Tom managed to compose himself and not backing down under Grandpa's gaze who tried to catch him out. Gran looked at Grandpa with a cautious warning in her eyes. Gran was clearly fond of Tom but it didn't stop Grandpa from trying to test Tom.
"He slept on my bed and I slept on the sofa, Grandpa." I contributed in, smiling sweetly at him like I use to when I wanted something.
"Leave the poor boy alone, dear. Erin said they're just friends so it means there's nothing going on between them." Gran patted Grandpa's arm but she winked at me first.
Grandpa huffed and straighten out his paper and lifted it up to cover up his face but before I caught him smiling in a contented way whilst looking at Tom briefly, and nodding his head in satisfaction.

By mid-morning, Tom had to go back to Plymouth via train because he had an early start tomorrow morning as he will start the final stage of his training for the run up to the Olympics.
For the next few weeks he's going to be busy with training, training camps that are dotted around he country and abroad for days at a time. He also has his media work, photo shoots and promotions to complete for he's one of the gold hopefuls and the 'Poster Boy' of The London 2012 Olympics.
My room mates and I on the other hand are staying for another week up North before making our way to Plymouth.
"I think I've got everything." Tom declared as he zipped his bag up. He smiled at me as I sat down with my legs crossed on the bed.
"Daley! The taxi is here!" Taylor hollered from the bottom of the stairs
"That's my cue to leave." Tom laughed trying to lighten up the atmosphere in my room.
"I'll see you sometime next week or the week after." I muttered. Trying not to sound so disappointed that he couldn't spend a few more days with me.
"I suppose so." Tom said in a mischievous smile. He dipped down, bending at his hips and planted a kiss on my lips.
"See you later, babe." He smiled and made his way down the stairs.
