Tom's POV

It's two days after the Closing Ceremony when the diving team and I got back to Plymouth via a 3-hour train ride.

Andy, Tonia, the others and I separated ways at the train station and I got into a taxi.

I tried to call Erin to let her know that I'm back in Plymouth and that I could meet her if she wants to.

Even though, we haven't labelled our relationship just yet at her request of taking things slow I managed go let it slip at an interview that I had a girlfriend. Since then I've had a lot of tweets asking me if I have a girlfriend or not. I'm so tempted to say yes but I don't know how Erin will react.

But then again she hasn't said anything about my little slip up at an interview. Maybe she hasn't seen it and as far as I know she doesn't have twitter. Although Taylor does and were following each other, and surely Taylor has seen the tweets.

Nevertheless, Erin hasn't mention it just yet and deep down I feel that relieved that she hasn't brought it up yet. I don't want to ruin our relationship because of my little slip up.

Damn, I really have fallen for her even though I've only known her for a couple of months.

As I approached the house, Mum threw open the front door and took me into her arms in a tight hug.

"Welcome home, Darling!" Mum gushed and bug me once more before she let me into the house.

That's funny, the house is completely empty and silent. I couldn't hear anything and I'm beginning to get a little bit suspicious.

"Ben and William out?" I asked as I approached the living room. The living room door and the kitchen door were closed and they're never close.

"Yeah. They popped out to get something from the shops" Mum said steering me up towards the stairs. I just hummed my reply and I tried not to get a little bit suspicious.

"Go put your stuff upstairs and I'll you some lunch" Mum smiled as she walked towards the kitchen. I've never heard the house so quiet in my life and it's quite unsettling. I'm so used to hearing Mum pottering around the kitchen with either the radio or the TV on as she prepared food, my brothers are wither arguing about a game one of them lost or just general arguing about who took who's socks.

The Daley household is never quiet. There is always something going on.

"Mum! I'm just going to nip out for a-" I started to say as I grabbed my keys from the bowl near the door and walk towards the kitchen which was still shut. I opened the door and before I finished my sentence there was a loud eruption of "Surprise!".

I was taken aback as I saw everyone there, crammed into the kitchen. Everyone was there from my school friends, cousins and even Erin and Taylor. I saw no sign of Adam and Matt though.

"How the hell did you get here?" I asked as I spotted Andy, Tonia and the rest of the diving team.

"Told you we'll see you soon, Baby Daley!" Tonia came and hugged me.

"We thought it would be nice to give you a little surprise party after all the effort you put it" Mum said as everyone came and hugged me.

"It was my idea actually" Ben chirped as he hung off my neck

"Look! We got you a cake too!" Ben said as Mum brought out a square blue cake with the Olympic rings on them and a bronze medal made out of icing.

"Well done Tom! Our Baby Daley has grown up so quickly and now he's winning medals at the Olympics!" Tonia led a toast to my success and everyone raised their glass at me with a chorus of "Well Done, Tom!"

Soon enough everyone started to branch out through out the house and started to mingle with each other.

"So, where's that girlfriend of yours then Tom?" my fellow divers, Chris and Jack, nudge me as I leant against the wall and just enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

"Her name is Erin." I nodded towards Erin who was busy chatting with Tonia and Brooke. When Erin caught my eyes, she smiled shyly and continued her conversation with the girls.

"Ohhh check you out Boy Wonder. You bagged yourself a fit girlfriend" Jack laughed light heartedly.

"Heard she's a student at Plymouth Uni." Chris contributed as took a sip out of his drink.

"You heard right." I smirked at them playfully.

"What she taking?"

"Law"

"Feisty." Chris wolf-whistled

"You do like your girls feisty, don't you Tom?" Jack nudged me before laughing hysterically like a hyena.

"Hey." Erin said casually as she came and approached us. Jack and Chris stopped laughing at once but did not stop wiggling their eyebrows at me in a suggestive way.

"Hi. Jack and Chris this is Erin and Erin these idiots are my fellow divers." I introduced them to each other with a raise eyebrow.

"Rude." Jack exclaimed.

"That hurts, dude. Right in here" Chris feigned a hurt look and thump his his chest with a fist. Soon enough they burst out laughing and Erin smiled brightly.

"Don't listen to him, Erin. He's the idiot" Chris looked at me accusingly.

"You can so do better than him girlfriend!" Jack snapped his fingers and wiggled his head side to side with a pout.

"Yes, talking about girlfriends, I saw your little slip up on TV." Erin said with a straight face.

"Uh-oh! Tommykins is in trouble!" Jack and Chris said in a sing-song voice as they laughed hysterically and walked away.

"Errr sorry?" I tried to apologised. Erin just narrowed her eyes at me, not looking particularly happy about it. She did she it after all and by the looks of things she's anything but happy.

"Sorry? You announced our relationship on live TV without consulting me first?" Erin made a clicking noise with her cheeks and crossed her arms across her chest.

"I'm sorry Erin, I shouldn't have said it. I just got a little bit carried away, that's all" I scrambled and stammered as I tried to find a reasonable explanation for my actions.

Erin once again narrowed her eyes at me and I smiled apologetically only to find Erin burst out laughing. I was confused for a moment as she threw her arms around me and gave me a peck on the lips

"I'm only winding you up, babe. So you slipped up, big deal!" she laughed her silver bell laugh and kissed me on both cheeks.
