Teachers ~ Logicality

Summary: Logan is a math teacher and Patton is a special ED teacher. Both teachers are best friends and the students start affecting their relationship, but maybe in a good way?

Prompt: "O-Oh, of course.. heh I'm sorry I just thought.."

Logan got up and started writing down some math problems on the board, as at the time they are learning how to do radicals. He faved the class who half were almost asleep and the other were actually listening. "Now who can tell me the square root of 64?" He asked as he pointed to the first problem.

Two raised their hands and he picked a girl at the top. "Is it 8?" She asked, hoping to god she didn't embarrass herself in front of the class.

Logan nodded. "Correct." He said as he wrote down the answer as everyone else did. Logan sniffed the air as he smelled something sweet.

Right on cue, Mr. Valentine, aka Patton, walked in and had a tray of cookies, wearing a smile plastered over his face. "Hey logie! Do you want a cookie?" He asked as he held a tray up.

As soon as the nickname came out of Patton's mouth, the students suddenly were wide awake and smirked slightly. The students they had into their classes had always thought they would make a good couple and often talk about how they would be together in the hall. Usually, when they interact everyone pays attention, especially when Patton had thought he was having to move to another school for the state. That whole day, Logan stayed with him to comfort him.

Logan looked at the cookies and shook his head. "No thank you Mr. valentine, but I appreciate the gesture." He smiled slightly as Patton nodded and smiled.

"Alrighty! But don't be upset that you missed the opportunity!" He said and giggled as he waved goodbye, walking to the next class to offer. Logan waved back and watched him leave.

As soon as he looked back at the class, everyone was smirking and grinning at Logan. "What is the issue?" He asked, clueless by the small crush Patton had.

"Oh Nothing." One classmate said as some snickered quietly and Logan nodded.

"Alright, now pay attention to how to the square root of 7. You have to get the closest to the number which of course you can use a calculator but from what I can see, the answer is 2.64575131106." He said as he wrote it down as some of the class groaned on how they found math boring.

~TIMESKIP~

Patton sat down next to Logan during lunch, as they always did and wearing a slight blush. "Hi logie, what are you eating today?" He asked as he took out everything from his teacher lunch box.

Logan shrugged. "I made a edible and nutritious meal for today that has all the food ingredients everyone needs." Logan said plainly, and took a bite of his apple.

Patton nodded, only understanding half of that. "Well I'm having cake and a sandwich." He said and giggled, as he took a bite out of his sandwich.

Patton blushed slightly thinking about the note he found in his teachers desk just a few minutes ago. "S-So, um about the note.." he cleared his throat and wore a small smile.

Logan looked confused and swallowed his apple and looked at Patton. "What note?" He asked, completely oblivious.

Patton looked at him and got a piece of paper out. "This one, didn't you write it?" He asked, no as well confused.

Logan took it and read it, his eyes widening as he did. The note said:

Dear Patton,

I have had a slight crush on you for the past couple of years he have know each other and have been wanting to ask you out but hasent had the write words for it..
do you feel the same way?

Logan unfolded it, still in complete shock. "Um, I have to be straight forward with you, I have never been in the presence of this note and nor have I written it. From the hand writing, I think it was one of our students.." Logan frowned as Patton's face dropped.

"O-Oh, of course.. heh I'm sorry I just thought-" he felt tears forming from embarrassment and the fact he thought Logan felt the same. "I gotta go." Patton stood up and headed for the door, but before he could go anywhere, Logan grabbed his hand.

"Wait! Don't go." He sighed as he made Patton look at him, his index and thumb touching his chin. "I had no idea you had ever felt this way, I'm so sorry patton." He sighed as he rubbed the tears off Patton's face.

Patton sniffed. "I-I'm sorry, I just had never in a million years thought you felt the same, and I was just, so happy.." he sighed and looked down.

Logan felt his heart break seeing Patton this way. "And I'm sorry I didn't feel the same.." he sighed, knowing he always felt different with Patton, but he was never good with his feelings and thought it was just him, and ignored his feelings.

Patton's eyes widened and looked at him. "Y-You do?" He said, and sniffed.

Logan nodded and smiled softly at him as he cupped Patton's face, and gave him a kiss. Patton was shocked but kissed back, putting his hands around Logan's neck, smiling I tot he kiss.
