I Love You ~ Logicality

Summary: Logan wasn't aware of Patton's depression, mainly because he hid it. But one day, after Logan helped Virgil with an anxiety attack, catches him crying in his room, and that changed their relationship forever.

Warning: panic attack, depressed mood swings

Logan and Patton have been dating for a while, and boy do they love each other. Logan never had felt emotions until Patton had came into his life, now he's able to feel more than just frustration and sadness, like before.

Patton has always had a crush on him, just never said anything. Everyone else in the Mind space knew he never felt anything, and sure it was slowly breaking his heart, but he knew said anything, but that was before. Now, Logan and Patton are holding hands as they walk down the hallway, which neither would think that would happen.

Patton looked up at Logan and giggled. "Uh, sweetie? You have some cookie crumbs on- here let me get it." He brushed the cookie crumbs off Logan's lips, who was caught off guard and blushed softly.

"I-I appreciate the help Patton." He said, and gave a small smile, which used to be rare but now it's common when Patton is in the room.

Patton giggled and nodded. "Your welcom-" he stopped and paused, looking straight in front of him to see Virgil, on the floor, shaking, and clearly, having a panic attack.

The mood of the house changed drastically, as from what they saw. Patton let go of Logan's hand and ran over to Virgil, bending down, and getting his shoulders gently, for him to know that he was there. "Virgil! W-What's wrong?" He asked, worriedly, wearing a scared expression on his face. Logan's eyes widened, as he watched. He wasn't that close to Virgil but he did care for his well-being.

Virgil slowly looked up, shaking. He was to scared to talk, and all cane out was "I-I.." he sniffed, and continued to shake as Patton got more worried.

"V-Virgil? Please tell me what's wrong?" He asked, Logan watching from behind. His eyes widened, feeling terrible for Virgil.

Logan put a hand on Patton's shoulder and bent down with them. "L-Let me help Patton.." he said, Patton nodding slowly and moved out of the way.

Logan got closer to Virgil and looked at him. "Virgil, I need you to look at me and listen, Alright?" He said, Virgil nodding back but shakily. "Good, now I need you to focus on your breathing, breath in for 8 seconds, and let out for 8, like this."

He began to start the process and breathed in, counting, and then breathed out. Virgil nodded slowly and began doing what Logan was doing, repeating the process, until he was calmer.

Patton watched from behind, looking down. He hated that he couldn't help that much and without them noticing, he walked to his room and closed it. He loved everyone, and watching Virgil going through that and not helping, made his heart break. He grabbed his favorite cat hoodie, the one Logan got him, and wrapped himself in it.

Meanwhile, Logan slowly calmed him down, and spoke to him about it. He grabbed a water bottle, and gave it to Virgil, since Water can be healthy for him, and he seemed a bit dehydrated as well.

"So, if I'm understanding correctly, Thomas was in a panic because Joan had crossed a bridge that had collapsed, and since you are his anxiety, it gave you one?" He asked, Virgil nodded slowly, and sighed.

Logan nodded. "It's understandable, but now we have this new information, that Joan had called Thomas and we know now that he's okay."

Virgil sighed. "Yeah, now I feel like an idiot because I overreacted.."

He nodded. "Your emotions did go over board." He saw the glare Virgil shot him and realize what he did, and sighed. "I must apologize, I'm not well at comforting people, I only deliver facts and don't sugarcoat it."

Virgil sighed. "No, it's fine. That's who you are so I don't expect any less." He gave a small smile. "Anyways, where did Patton go?" He asked, looking around the room.

Logan looked around. "Hm I'm not sure.. you mind if go and check on him?" He asked, slightly worried. Virgil nodded and Logan waved goodbye, as he got up and began walking down the hallway.

He walked up to Patton's door and knocked on it, but it only showed that he door wasn't fully closed. "P-Patton?" He called out, unsure if he was in there.

Patton sniffed, and rubbed his eyes, tears were streaming down his face. "H-Hey Logie, I'm just trying to go to sleep so you don't n-Need to come in.." he said, trying his best to speak clearly.

Logan nodded, but noticed his tone of voice was off, it wasn't as happy. "Oh okay, well you mind if I come in?" He asked, while coming in. He's used to all the many times before, where Patton was always answer 'yes'.

Patton's eyes widened, as he didn't want to let Logan see him like this and made eye contact With the taller male.

Logan's eyes widened, as he noticed Patton's eyes were red and puffy and had tears down his face. "Patton! What's wrong?" He asked, going up to him and sitting down on the bed beside him.

Patton almost immediately started sobbing. "I-I'm sorry!" He said and Logan almost immediately hugged him. "Shhh, it's okay.." he said, rubbing his back.

Patton cried as he hugged back, and sniffed. "I-I couldn't help Virgil!! I-I can't help or do anything ri-" He was cut off by Logan.... crying?? That can't be, he's the toughest out of the four, or is he?

Patton's eyes widened and pulled away slightly. "L-Logan? N-No, please don't cry." He said, sniffing, rubbing his eyes.

Logan's heart broke seeing Patton cry, but hearing him think he couldn't do anything, broke him. "P-Patton... I love you so much... you make me feel things I've never felt before and you make me happier than before... do not ever think you can't do anything.

Patton's eyes began to tear up more, hugging him tighter "I-I love you to..." he said, between his sobs.

Logan held him tight, as they cried their hearts out.

~TIMESKIP~

After they cried a bit, they slowly calmed down and talked about it afterwards. After a bit of talking, They started cuddling on the bed, as Patton laid his head on Logan's chest, tracing circles on it.

Logan sighed, as he was playing with Patton's hair, feeling the soft texture of it. "Hey.. Patton?" He asked softly to get his attention.

Patton stopped and looked up at him. "Yeah?" He answered back.

"For now on, please try to be honest with your feelings alright? I love you to much for you to do this to yourself..." he said as he held him close.

Patton smiled weakly and kissed Logan's cheek. "I will love.." Logan smiled back and kissed his forehead, as they slowly fell asleep.
