I walked up a little to the jury and plead my case.
"If Mr.Litchfeild gets away with this crime what are we teaching our world? , our society ?. Teaching them in this kind of world we live in , where we must fear the police . The ones who are decorated to an extent & supposed to protect us . Imagine your son , daughter who ever the case may be goes to hang out with some friends , and the next time you'd being seeing them is in a morgue slab , how would you feel? If i dont stand for something today I'd fall for everything . By little we can save our societies government system and fix our world by sending this man to jail. I rest my case "
I said and walked back to my desk . Now my speech moved people cause the court room was filled with quietness.
" You herd both arguments ladies and gentlemen of the jury . The jury will be back in later on to read the verdict"
As the jury left the room , my heart beated against my chest . These moments were the most nerve racking .
Half An Hour Later
The jury came back and now was the time.
We all stood and the older Chinese women stood forth and prepared.
" We the jury find the defendant , Derrick Litchfield , Guilty of murder and is sentenced to life with no possibility of parole"
I blew out a breath as the people in the court grew wild . The judge pounded her gavel and ordered the court to behave
As I was walking out of the court room I was approached by Michael ' s parents .
"Ms.Brown how can I ever repay you ? , thank you so much my son got his justice thank you a million times " his mother spoke spilling tears .
I hugged her as she cried & when she settled a bit I smiled .
" Its okay , Ms . Johnson I did it for you , your husband , our world , our youth and our society . I'm just doing my job please take care of yourself , I've sent a immense bouquet of flowers for micheal as a token of my dearest sympathy " I said looking at Her and her husband .
" Thank you . So so much , you are a very remarkable person . God will shower you with his richest blessings "
"Thank you , take care of yourselves " I said and walked out back to my office to pick up a few stuff & change because my boss wanted to treat me for winning and taking on this big case. Once it was free food I'm good.
