Here goes nothing, I told myself, as I pulled into the parking lot of Matt's hotel. Caroline had been invited to hang out with the other guys, while I was going on a "date" with Matt.

How had I managed to convince myself to go through this, I don't know. Why was I about to go on a date with a guy I didn't really know? I didn't understand.

It wasn't as if I didn't want to go on a date with him. He was very attractive; his blonde hair and hazel eyes were the perfect combination on him. And then there was his personality...

Cut it out Mads, I scolded myself.

I parked the car, and took a minute to take in my appearance before I went in.

I was dressed in a white dress, with sandals and a cardigan. Caroline had done my makeup, applying a bit more than usual. She'd also curled my hair, allowing my blonde locks to spiral across my shoulders.

This was my first actual date, and I was a nervous wreck, to say the least.

"You'll be fine Mads, I promise you", Caroline said, patting my arm to calm me down.

"Thanks babe", I said, smiling at her. I truly did appreciate her attempts to calm my nerves, though they weren't very affective.

We walked in together, and sat in the lobby. Caroline made her way up to the boys' hotel room, while I waited for Matt.

My fingers nervously folded and unfolded themselves around each other in a vigorous pattern. I could felt every nerve in my body twitch from nervousness.

Was it was possible for one person, one guy to make you feel such a way? Before I had an opportunity to adjust anything else in my appearance, I saw Matt standing in the lobby, brining me back to earth.

He walked over to me, and I took in his appearance. White button down, navy shorts, and a pair of sperrys. He looked...good.

"Wow, you look...You look beautiful Madi," Matt said slowly as his eyes scanned me. Instantly i felt my face heat up from the intense blushing.

"Thank you", I said.

Why was he complementing me, I thought.

"You ready to go", he said nervously. I nodded in response, and he led out.

He grabbed my hand, catching me off course. I didn't think Matt and I were at the stage to be holding hands, but obviously Matt was on a different page.

I didn't pull away, but it was weird nonetheless. Holding hands with a complete stranger wasn't something I would normally do.

A cab pulled up to the hotel, and Matt and I walked over to it.

How sweet, he got a cab for us.

Being the gentlemen he was, he opened the door for me. Cheesy, but sweet.

It was rather awkward for the first few minutes of the ride. My eyes remained on the floor, far too nervous to look up at Matt.

He placed his hand on my thigh, and ran his thumb over it.

"Don't be nervous Madi", he said. "You have nothing to be nervous for".

I nodded my head, smiling a bit, hoping to convince him that I had eased up.

After a fifteen minute ride of silence, the cab arrived at a small Italian restaurant. Before I had a chance to unbuckle my seat-belt and open the passenger door of the car, Matt had ran out of his side and opened the door for me.
