|| Madi's Point of View ||

After a very, very long and eventful night, Caroline and I had to head home. It was 12:30, and we didn't want to overstay.

"Bye guys, thanks for having us over. We had fun", I said cheerfully, and one bye one, each of the boys came over and hugged both me and Caroline. I felt guilty for leaving Caroline by herself with a bunch of boys, but I knew she probably didn't mind. After all, who wouldn't want I be alone with a bunch of cute guys.

Matt came over to me last, and pulled me in for a hug.

"I had fun tonight", he whispered. He reached down into my back pocket, and pulled out my iPhone. Because I didn't have a passcode, he was able to get in quickly. After a brief moment, he handed my phone back to me.

"I put in my contact for you", he whispered, and winked at me. That boy was a flirt, to say the least.

"I had fun today Madi. We should hang out again soon"

"I did too Matt", I said, trying to hide the grin on my face.

We said our final goodbyes, and with that, Caroline and I headed out the door.

About and hour later, we arrived to My house, and Caroline dropped me off. She hadn't mentioned much about what had happened while Matt and I were on our walk, so I figured she'd text me. I quietly unlocked my front door, and tiptoed into my house, to find my dad passed out on the couch, my mother nowhere in sight. My siblings were at my grandparents house for the week, as per their request, so it was just me and my dad.

I got up to my room, and flopped on my bed. It was late, and I was exhausted, but I couldn't get Matt out of my head

His hazel eyes, looking into mine. His hand intertwined with mine.

Snap out of it Madi, I told myself myself. Promise yourself you won't get attached to him.

Just then, my phone vibrated, and a text appeared on my lock screen.

Matt Sexpinosa: I had fun today, but I don't want it to be the last time I see you. Meet me at my hotel tomorrow at 7 for another fun evening. Wear something nice ;)

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Was I reading this correctly? Was Matt asking me on a date?

Question like these swarmed through my head, and it took me a moment to register it. Matt had just asked me out.

Don't you dare say yes Madi. He doesn't really care. This is a publicity stunt. Don't open yourself up to him.

But for the first time in forever, I ignored my thoughts. Without processing what I was doing, I grabbed my phone, and began typing.

I had fun too. And sure, 7 works. See you then!

You promised Madi, I said to myself, but I couldn't undo what was already happening.

I was breaking that promise. Doing the one thing I swore I'd never do. I was letting him in.
