"emma what time is mom coming?" i said frantically running through the house

"im pretty sure in an hour" she said walking into the spare room.

i looked around "is she staying here?" i said closing the closet door.

"yeah i think" she said laughing "i love how i know more about your mom than you do"

"shut up shes basically your mom" i said rolling my eyes playfully.

"are you gonna have her meet joey" she said following me out of the room.

i paused, am i?

"uh, im not sure" i said running my hand through my long hair.

"you've met jen, he should meet lisa" she said calmly.

"you are so right" i said taking my phone out to call joey.

i tapped on his name and within three rings he picked up "hello maggie bae" i heard his voice say.

i giggle and mentally rolled my eyes "hey jojo" i hesitated "can i ask you something" i said. why the fuck am i so nervous?

"yeah, whats wrong?" he said pausing whatever was in the background.

"nothing is wrong, but do you want to go out to dinner with my mom and i tonight" i said biting my bottom lip.

"yes," he said, i could hear the excitement in his voice "what time"

"come to my house at 5 and wear something nice" i said, i could feel him rolling his eyes.

"anything for you" he said "i will see you later babe"

i blushed "see you soon jojo" i said hanging up smiling.

right when i went to put my phone down my mom starting calling me "hey mom" i said walking out of the room.

"hey mags, i'm almost to the house i think" she said sounding confused.

my eyes widened "already? woah okay. it might be a mess" i said laughing a little.

she laughed "that's what i expected" she said. "i just wanted to let you know so when you hear a car it's me. i think i'm almost there so i'll see you soon love you" she said hanging up. damn she doesn't let me speak.

as soon as she hung up i heard a car pull up and a car door slam "emma mom's here" i yelled as i heard emma running down the stairs.

"mom" she yelled opening the door and running outside.

i followed her "yo she isn't even your mom move your ass" i said pulling her away, letting me hug her.

"oh my girls" my mom said "i've missed you both."

"we missed you too" i said "oh mom" i said looking at emma.

"yes maggie" she said looking at me confused as emma was trying not to laugh.

"we are going out to dinner tonight" i said "with my friend jo-"

"miss me with your bullshit, lisa it's a guy that maggie likes and that likes her. his name is joey and you're gonna love him" she said smiling.

"emma" i said with my eyes wide opened.
