Chance groans as his alarm clock sounds off bright and early. It was going to take some getting used to getting up so early. But the workday calls.
He smiles as he reaches for the pillow, that just a few hours ago, his lover had laid his head. Tim didn't want to be the reason for Chance being late on his first day of work so he had left early and gone back to his room.
He crawls out of bed and stumbles over to the coffee pot. He starts his coffee brewing as he heads to the shower.
As he dressed after his shower, he could not get his mind off his brown-eyed boyfriend. What was their future? Would they ever be able to live a normal happy life?
A light tap on the door pulls him from his thoughts. He sighs as he heads over to the door. He laughs as he sees a hung-over Nate at the door.
"Coffee, please?" Nate groans.
"Sure, come on in." Chance says as points over to his coffee pot.
"Bless you." Nate says as he walks into the apartment. "Got groceries yesterday but forgot to get any coffee."
"Got liquor instead?" Chance chuckles.
"Uh, yeah, kinda." Nate smiles as he fixes him a cup of coffee. "Forgot to get aspirin too. Got any?"
"Cabinet above the sink." Chance says, shaking his head as he sits down at the table with his coffee.
"Looking pretty sharp in your scrubs. Is Timmy going to be able to keep his hands off you?" Nate smirks as he swallows a couple of aspirins.
"After last night, he should be pretty satisfied for awhile." Chance chuckles as he sips his coffee.
"Seriously? I didn't need to hear that." Nate laughs.
"You feel like getting some breakfast before we have to punch the clock?" Chance asks as he slips on his shoes.
"Yeah, I think I could eat a little something. I just have a headache. My stomach feels fine." Nate says as he finishes his coffee.
Chance puts their coffee cups into the dishwasher and turns off the coffee pot before leaving his apartment.
"So how is Timmy going to spend his day since you'll be busy working?" Nate asks as they head down the hallway to the stairs.
"He's going to be helping Tina hang pictures in her office. She framed some of his photographs and wants to show off his talent." Chance smiles.
"He definitely has an eye for taking awesome pictures." Nate nods. "Are you guys ever going to make your relationship public?"
"Yeah, I'm sure someday." Chance answers with a nod. "Whenever Tim feels that he's ready. Although, I think his friends have already figured it out."
"You know I know that he can talk, right?" Nate asks.
"Yeah, Tina told me. He has trust issues, Nate. He's finally talking to Tina and he'll eventually talk to you and his friends." Chance says as they walk out into the hallway of the hospital and head into the direction of the cafeteria. "It's just that his father punished him for talking and that is still in his mind."
They walk into the cafeteria and is greeted by a very cheerful Rob. The lunchroom was pretty quiet, most of the patients were still asleep.
Chance glances around and sees his lover sitting alone at a table looking at some pictures that he had taken on his camera.
The two men get their trays and Chance nods in the direction where Tim was sitting.
"Good morning, handsome. Is this seat taken?" Chance asks with a smile.
