Chance had finished unpacking and had everything put away. He had the whole weekend free before starting to work on Monday. He was officially moved in.He couldn't wait to tell Tim about the talk that he and Tina had. Well, it was more like, she talked and he listened. But the outcome was the same. They had her blessing.
He decided to go downstairs to see what his favorite foursome was getting into. As he was walking down the hall, he sees Rob coming out of Tina's office and closing the door quietly behind him.
"Well, this is it." Rob says to him with a grin.
"What is what?" Chance asks.
"Harry is officially being dismissed from the hospital. I just gave my statement about what happened in the cafeteria." Rob says as they continue down the hall. "Tina gave his parents recommendation for another hospital but told them he could no longer stay here because of his bullying of other patients."
"That's a relief." Chance says.
"Yeah, tell me about it. I had to watch him like a hawk every time he came into the cafeteria. He was always trying to start something." Rob says as he stops at the door of the cafeteria. "So when do you officially start to work?"
"Monday." Chance answers.
"Well, at least you have the weekend to rest up. I need to get started on these yahoos' dinner." Rob laughs. "I'll talk to you later."
"Have fun." Chance chuckles before heading down the hall to the recreation room.
Chance walks in to see Adam and Avi looking out the door leading to the garden. Both were giggling.
"What's going on, guys?" Chance asks as he walks in between the two, putting his arms around their shoulders.
"Austin wanted Photograph to take some pictures of Virgil with his new camera." Avi giggles.
"It's hilarious. Poor Photograph is so confused, he has no idea where to point the camera. Every time he starts to take a picture, Austin tells him he's pointing in the wrong direction." Adam laughs. "Austin doesn't realize that he's the only one that can see Virgil. He thinks we're being mean to Virgil because we don't talk to him. But the reason we don't talk to him is because he doesn't exist. You know what I'm saying? We're not rude. If he really existed then we would talk to him. But we don't see him so...." Adam says before getting interrupted by Chance.
"Yeah, Adam, I know what you're saying." Chance says with a smile.
"Well, that was very rude to interrupt me while I was talking." Adam says as he looks around at Chance.
"He had to or you would never stop talking." Avi chuckles as he opens the door to go outside.
"Come on, Adam. Let's go save Tim from Austin." Chance chuckles as he rubs the pouting blond on the back.
Tim looks around and gives the others a pleading look.
"You missed it, Timmy." Austin huffs. "A butterfly landed on Virgil's head."
"Can I borrow Tim for just a minute, Austin? I need to talk to him about something." Chance says as he reaches for Tim's hand. "I see Kelsey over on the patio serving lemonade. Why don't you guys go and get you something cool to drink."
"Oh, I love lemonade. You wanna know what else I like? Ice tea. Lemonade and ice tea are awesome on hot days like today. It's really hot out here. I'll be glad when it snows." Adam rambles.
"Let's go get some before it's all gone." Avi says.
"Now you're interrupting me." Adam pouts as he crosses his arms across his chest and stumps toward the patio.
Chance shakes his head at the trio as he leads Tim over to a bench.
"Is something wrong?" Tim whispers so that no one hears him.
"No. As a matter of fact." Chance smiles as he leans over and places a soft kiss on Tim's lips.
"Are you nuts?" Tim panics and pushes Chance away. "Someone will see you."
Chance chuckles as Tim nervously looks around.
"I've got some great news." Chance smiles.
Tim falls silent as another patient walks by.
"Actually, there are two things I need to tell you." Chance says as he watches the other patient as he walks out of hearing distance. "You'll no longer have to worry about Harry. He was released from the hospital today in his parents care."
Tim smiles with relief.
"And the other thing is, Tina gave us her blessing." Chance smiles.
"Gave us her blessing? I'm not sure if I know what that means." Tim whispers.
"It means that I can do this..." Chance leans over and kisses Tim again. "Without either of us getting into trouble."
A huge smile comes across Tim's face as he quickly grabs Chance into a hug.
"So she knows?" Tim asks next to Chance's ear as he hugs him.
"Yep." Chance answers as he rubs Tim's back.
"Am I interrupting?" Tina says as she walks up with a glass of lemonade.
Tim quickly pulls away from Chance and hangs his head. His whole personality seems to change. He was again, the sweet and shy Tim. Which both, Tina and Chance knew was just an act.
"Lemonade?" Tina asks as she kneels down in front of Tim and hands the glass to him.
He smiles shyly as he takes the glass from her.
"I just wanted to let you know that I just walked Harry and his parents out of the building." Tina smiles as she reaches out and gently rubs Tim's bruised cheek.
Tim smiles and hugs Tina's neck.
"You're welcome, Sweetie." She says softly near his ear. "And I want to tell you something else. I know you and Chance have feelings for each other. I'm okay with it."
Tim pulls out of the hug and looks at her as if he was trying to see if she was really meaning it.
"I'm serious." She smiles and nods her head, earning her another hug from the patient.
She takes Tim by the hand and lays her other hand on Chance's knee.
"Whatever goes on behind closed doors is totally your business." Tina says in a soft voice. "But, I totally expect you guys to behave yourself in front of the other patients. A hug or a kiss on the cheek is acceptable. When you clock in on Monday, Chance, you will be an employee of Waverly Hills and I expect you to act like a professional in your line of work. In other words, no hanky-panky in the linen closet when you are supposed to be helping patients."
She smiles as she gently tugs Tim's chin whiskers.
"And one more thing..." Tina says as she stands up. "I've seen Timothy hurt before and I didn't like it at all. So if you hurt him, Adam Chance Ray, I don't think you'll like me very well."
She smiles down at Chance.
"Oh, don't worry, Tina." Chance smiles. "And to be honest, I think you'd hurt somebody over these guys.
"Trust me, I would. They're my family. I miss them when I go home at night." Tina smiles as she rubs Tim on the side of the head. "Believe it or not, I miss Adam's constant chatter, hearing about what happened to Joey and Chandler from Avi. I even miss helping Austin look for Virgil. Looking in closets that are his favorite hiding places. And the excitement in Tim's eyes and that beautiful smile of his when he sees the opportunity for the perfect photograph."
She stops and wipes the tears from her eyes.
"Look at me getting all emotional here." She giggles.
"Yeah, you need to stop." Chance chuckles as he wipes his eyes on his sleeve.
