ELLIOT'S POV

I reached over and brushed a stray hair away from Jamie's peaceful face. She was so beautiful. I couldn't believe how strong she was. My eyes flicked to her weeping wrist.

How could she do something like this to herself? I decided to clean her up. As I was getting up, her mouth formed a soundless 'o' and she began sweating.

I started to panic when her whole body tensed up and she screamed out her brother's name. Tears leaked out of her eyes and streamed down her face. She screamed, "NOOOOO." All of a sudden she shot to a sitting position. Her eyes were still closed so I was pretty sure she was still sleeping. I moved to wake her up but something stopped me from doing so. Her legs swung off the bed and brought her to a stand. I watched in awe as she settled down and stood in silence. As if there was music, she began to dance. I remember watching her while she danced in her classes. It was incredible the way she could create the illusion that she was floating like she was just now. I never knew why she gave that up. An idea suddenly popped into my head. I reached over to her bedside table and grabbed her IPod.

I flipped through songs and found 'How to Save A Life' by The Fray. My eyes drifted to her speakers across the room. I ran to the speakers, shoving the connection in and pressed play. I turned to face her. Her sleep-dancing stopped as she digested the music. I couldn't believe she was still sleeping. Her body started to move in rhythm with the music and all I could do was watch in wonder. For the whole song she poured her emotions into that one dance. I felt a tear drop down my face as the last chorus came through the speakers. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Erase that: She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Once the song finished, I couldn't help but gather her in my arms and kiss her. Her eyes flicked open and then closed as she kissed me back.

I had to pull away so I could speak, "That was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."

Her cute nose scrunched in confusion and I laughed quietly, "You were sleep-dancing and it was amazing."

A faint blush spread across her face, "Thank-you."

She brought one of her hands to her face and wiped off stray tears. This made her cuts visible and one seemed to have opened again because blood formed on her wrist.

"Jamie, I am fixing up these cuts and no making out this time."

I felt her chest vibrate as she giggled. I spied the abandoned Dettol and bandages on her bedside table. She obediently sat on her bed and held her arm out while I scooped up the items. I kneeled down in front of her and picked up the Dettol. She laughed, "What are you going to do? Pour it on my arm?" I realized I needed a tissue and began to search. I heard a giggle as a tissue dropped in front of me. While I shook my head in laughter, I grabbed the tissue resting on the floor. Once I poured some on the tissue I pressed it to her skin.

She sucked in a breath as pain washed over her. "It's okay, hold in there." I held her hand and she squeezed as I began to wrap the bandage around her fragile wrist. Once I wrapped the last bit of the bandage, I smiled up at her face and she smiled back. It was then that I knew that I maybe could fill that gaping hole in her heart.

A/N - I have added "How To Save A Life" By The Fray to the side. Such a sad song ahhhhh.

Thanks  xoxo
