Taylor had already pulled out snacks halfway there.
We ride in silence quietly snacking on grapes.
Then I catch Jayden looking at me. What? I say with my eyes. He holds up his phone and an episode of SpongeBob was playing. The vacation episode. I smile then nod.
He starts in the middle of the song.
"Let's all sing, the road song!"
My mom looks at him like he's crazy, Taylor smiles, and my dad just raises a questioning eyebrow.
"I wanna sing it all day long!" I say, not letting there be one moment of silence.
"Let's all sing the road song!" Taylor says popping another grape in her mouth.
"Everybody sing along!" we say in unison.
By the time we get to the airport we were all singing.
We walk into the airport singing. We get on the plane singing and soon after, everyone one the plane was singing along with us.
