Just a Coincidence

'No, I'm just hallucinating. He's not standing there.'

He walks to the back of the class and sits right into the 'graffiti desk'.

'Well now that makes sense.' I think to myself. Part of me wanted to stop staring at him and ignore him, but the other half over-ruled with the want to just take in how perfect he was.

'No. Maybe he has a twin brother. That's it! He has a twin brother.' Says the part of me that wanted to stop staring.

'Yeah, duh, because his twin would say 'we meet again new girl.' Cause that makes perfect sense. You're an idiot! Of course that's him! You're not hallucinating!' Says the part of me that wanted to continue staring.

He notices me staring and smirks. That smirk. That freaking smirk could not be imitated by anyone. He is the only human on this earth that can make me feel the way I do. Not even Michael...

'Just hallucinating my ass.' I think to myself, slightly pissed even though I had no idea why.

Perrie turns around, but it wasn't to look at me; it was to look at Zayn.

"What's up bad boy?" She asks Zayn.

"Eh, got detention for skippin' class." He says, not taking his eyes away from me.

"This is Amber, she's..." Perrie starts, but is interrupted by Zayn.

"The new girl. Yeah, I kinda picked up on that."

Perrie cuts him back off. " Amber, this is the jackass of the school, Zayn."

"Hey, that's an offense. What if it was the first time I met the new girl and I wanted to make a somewhat good impression on her but you just called me a jackass? Then she'd think I'm a jackass." Zayn asks as if I weren't even sitting there.

"I'd think you're a jackass anyways." I say speaking up for the first time during their entire mini-conversation.

"I take it you've already met because no kid has the guts to talk to Zayn like that...or are you just craazay?" Perrie says.

"No talking!" The teacher says from the front of the class.

"May as well keep talking, we both already have detention." Zayn says shrugging his shoulders. They continue their conversation without me. I raise an eyebrow questionably.

"Did you make a silent executive decision to cut me out of the conversation?" I ask.

Zayn smirks. "Well, you're new. Would you like to start off in a group like this?"

"I wouldn't have a problem with it. Might as well re-make myself." I answer.

"That whole 're-make' thing," Perrie says. "It's harder than you think."

"No kidding." Zayn says. People just crash and burn when they try..."

"I said no talking!" The professor says.

"Alright, I'm sick of this bull," Zayn says turning around to face the teacher. "Hey man, shut the hell up. You keep interrupting my damn conversation. It's getting old. Yes, I did just disrespect you. No, I really don't care. I will not apologize because I do not have a reason to do so. Yes, I do accept the detention you're giving me. I don't care that I'm wasting your time and disrupting the class. No, you don't have to call my mom because I can call he myself and I don't want you wasting your pathetic minutes on the conversation. No, I do not have a problem with waiting in the hall. Yes I will go to the hall right now. Goodbye." Zayn says standing and leaving the class room.

I just sit there, dumbfounded. Perrie sees me.

"They have had the same conversation millions of times. He's memorized it." She says.

I look at the professor. He stares at me with angry eyes.

"I'm getting the whole 'you're in serious trouble' vibe right now." I say to Perrie.

"That's probably accurate." She says.

"Why is he looking at me like that?"

"You'll see."

The professor takes a small white slip from his desk and speed walks to my desk. He places it on my desk quickly and then goes back to his lecture.

I pick the slip up and turn it over. It said 'detention' in big, bold letters.

Perrie grabs my shoulders and shakes them with a bright smile.

"Detention Buddies!" She squeals.
