Christmas Eve.

"Grandpa!!!" Bianca squeals as the three of us open the door and greet Trevor. Bianca hugs his legs, then Brianna and I join in the hug.

"I feel old when you call me that." Trevor frowns.

"Sorry!!!" Bianca giggles and zooms off to her room.

"No more frosting for her..." I laugh and Trevor shakes his head.

"Bella, how can we do Christmas without mom and dad?" Brianna asks as I put on my shoes.

"What do you m-"

Oh right. 'Dad.' I was gonna say...Dad is right here.

I've adjusted to Trevor being my dad, yet I don't usually say it. In fact, Brianna hasn't called him anything. She only gave him hugs and an occasional hi, like a second ago.

"...how about you and Bianca finish decorating cookies, put your pajamas on, and we'll go visit them tonight." I suggest and Brianna's face lightens up.

"Yay! I can give them our presents! Maybe Santa will make my wish come true and they'll finally wake up..." She smiles and walks upstairs to her room.

If only Santa could do that. I sigh to myself first, then I go help Trevor bring in our Christmas tree. Trevor was able to get us a real tree this year instead of a fake one.

"So...how are you and Chris?" Trevor grins. "I saw him on TV the other day because of Usher's live video being a topic they discussed. They said Chris is like the younger verison of Usher."

"Yeah." I shake my head and smile. "Things have gotten better since Halloween. He took me out to a few nice places, the girls and I to the movies and cider mill...he's still making time for me even though his life is starting to get a little hectic."

"That's what I like to hear." Trevor smiles. "I love that kid. I actually haven't spoke to him in a while..."

"Hmm. I really wonder why." I cross my arms at him and he laughs. He's been busy with my teacher, so it's not just Chris' fault they haven't talked.

"How are you and, my teacher?" I smirk as he bites his bottom lip, trying not to smile and blush.

"My grade keeps getting higher and higher the longer you are with her, so thank you." I tease him and give a thumbs up. He rolls his eyes and sits beside me on the couch.

"...I'm sorry Bell-"

"For what?" I laugh. "You're in love again." I smile.

"Yeah, I am in love again..." He smiles a tiny bit at the realization of it. "But, it's just...I've barely been over here or seen you and the girls. You came over for Thanksgiving, and I only visited y'all like twice this month. I've been with Jen all the time and, I-I'm basically neglecting you and the gir-"

"Dad," I say and his eyes glow up. "You're not neglecting us. Until Mom wakes up, we'll see what we're all gonna do. Brianna is your daughter to-"

"Brianna doesn't like me. I can feel it everytime I try to talk to her or say hi...she doesn't really know what to say, and it's like she hates me. Hell, Brianna's name was my suggestion to your mother when she gave birth...we should be closer. We should of all been closer..." He sighs and rubs his head.

"Well...Brianna doesn't hate you. She'll adjust to it like I did. Brianna is still like a baby to me, in some ways, learning like Bianca is about everything. She could never hate you."
