CHAPTER SEVEN:
HISTORY OF DERRY

AT BEN'S place, all of them walk into the room, looking around. Richie and Eddie's discussing stopped as they walk in. "Cool huh?" Ben says when he saw Richie's amazement. "No, nothing cool, there's nothing cool." Richie said and David rolled his eyes as he sat at the bed, watching them roam around the room. "This right here is cool, oh, no it's not." Richie says and David chuckled.

Timothy walks over to stand beside Bill, looking at the paper in his hands. "Cool.." He whispered making Bill look at him. Bill smiles softly at him and he looks up at him when he looked into Bill's blue eyes. "Y-Yeah.. Pretty c-c-cool." Bill says with a small smile and Timothy smiled back. "Derry started as a beaver trapping camp." Timothy heard Ben so he looks over, making Bill look down. "Still is, am I right boys?" Richie asked as he raised his hand up to Stanley who then pushed it down.

"Ninety one people signed the charter that made Derry. But later that winter, they all disappeared without a trace." Ben says making Timothy get chills down his spine as he looks down, thinking about that stupid clown he saw.

"The entire camp?" Eddie asked.

"There were rumours of Indians, but no sign of an attack. Everybody just thought it was a plague or something. But it's like.." Ben said as David stood up, standing between him and Richie. "One day, everybody woke up and just left. The only clue was a bloody trail of clothes leading to the well house." Ben continued and David stared at the photos as he bites his bottom lip.

"Jesus," he whispered, "we can get Derry on unsolved mysteries." Richie said from beside him and David looks at him. "True." He whispered then looked away, over at the pictures on the wall making Timothy shake his head with an eye roll.

Timothy looks at Bill who was standing closer, looking at the other stuff on the desk. "W-Where was the well house?" Bill said as he turned to face them. Timothy looks over, "I don't know, somewhere in town, I guess." Ben says and Timothy looks at Bill. "Why?" Ben asked, the same question that Timothy had in mind and Bill looks back at Timothy. "Nothing." He says softly before looking at the wall behind Timothy so then the boy turns to the wall, looking at the photos of the missing kids.

Timothy liked the way Bill spoke, he spoke in such a soft voice and if he was being honest, he'd love to just listen to him talk all day.

After when Elise, Timothy and David were walking home, David couldn't help but notice Elise was looking everywhere. "El, is everything okay?" He asked as they reached his place. The three come to a stop and Elise turns to them.

"Um.. You'll just think I'm crazy.. I'll see you guys tomorrow.." She said, about to turn away but David grabbed her arm. "Did you.. did you see the clown too?" He whispered and she looks around again. "Who the fuck told you about him?" She whispers and he looks at Timothy.

"It, El.. It.. It was no man.." David says.

"We saw It too." Timothy said and she sighed, looking down. "Did you guys see something that.. you were scared off too?" She whispers, looking back up. Timothy only nods, looking at David. "I saw.. Liv.." David says, letting go of her arm. "I saw my dad, she kept telling me my time was coming.. That I would join him soon.. he kept saying it. Over and over." She said as she looked down, sobbing lightly. "Hey, no, that won't ever happen.." David said, wrapping his arms around her.

"Then I saw the clown.." She whimpered and Timothy lets down her bike, wrapping his arms around both of them tightly. "It told me-me.. That It was coming for me.." She whispered and Timothy just hugged tighter, David doing the same.

"You'll be fine, your mom is home right?" Timothy asked as she pulls away and she nodded right away. "My grandma too, she.. she's staying with us now, and she's sleeping in the same room so I'll be fine." She says with a nod and David nods. "She hung crosses around the room.. I'm sure I'll be alright.." She said as she picked up her bike.

"I'll see you guys." She says as she got on her bike. "We'll see you later.." Timothy only says, waving. "Can I stay here again?" David asked as he looks at Timothy who only nodded. "Yeah, of course." He says and they head into the house.

That night when Elise was alone in her bedroom, she saw her dad again. She was brushing her hair, watching herself through a mirror then saw the man through the mirror standing at his bedroom door, staring at her. She closed her eyes, turning to face him. "Dad.." She says and he stepped closer with a huge smile. "You'll be with me soon, sweetheart," he says and she looks down. "No," she whispered, shaking his head right away.

"Yes, you will. You're gonna die soon because you're weak, just like I was. When I died from those drugs, you remember that right? When.. you walked into my room and saw-" "Shut up!" She yelled and he only tilted his head to the side.

"Shut up! Just shut up!" She said, sobbing lightly as she slowly moved down, sitting down on the floor. "You're not real!" She yells and he steps closer, kneeling in front of her, revealing the clown behind him at the door. "I'm more real then you think." He said as his eyes glowed a bright red making her whimper, backing away.

"You'll float with me too, sweetheart.." He whispers. "You'll float too!" He yelled and she covered her face, screaming. "Ellie!" His grandma says as she walks in, walking over to her and she looked up, looking at the door then around the room. "You didn't see him? Dad was here.. And some clown, did you-you see him?" She says as she stood up and the old woman sighed, shaking her head.

"You're probably ill, El.. I'll make you some soup, come on." The woman said, leading her out the door and down the stairs. All Elise could think about at that point was seeing her father and that clown. "I saw dad.." She whispered at the table where she sat across from her mother who was reading. "What?" Her mom asked with worry.

"I saw dad, he told me I'd join him soon. That I'll float too.." She sounded crazy but she wanted her mom to know. "This isn't fair to your mother." Her grandma said as her mother stood up, holding her hand to her mouth, shaking her head as she pushed her chair in before leaving the kitchen.

"But grandma.. I swear, I saw him.. He kept saying cruel things to me." She says as she looks down. "I'm sure you were just sleepwalking, we didn't see anything, and your father is dead.. Has been for a couple years now, he isn't gonna come back and I suggest you stop bringing him up in front of your mom." The woman says.

"I saw him.."
