Chapter 25 - Beautiful Day

The next day Malachi woke up leaving Malaya in bed. He took a shower and got dressed then went downstairs to the kitchen where he was debating whether to get breakfast or make breakfast. The latter was his choice but he still ordered a few things to top it off. He placed the food on a tray once he was finish preparing it. The breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, toast bread, coffee and the banana muffin and smoked sausage he ordered. He then walked back up the stairs towards the bedroom. When he entered he saw her still in bed and as if she sensed him she turned and her eyes fluttered open. She smiled at him and he returned her smile with an even brighter one.

Good morning beautiful. How did you sleep? he asked.

I slept peacefully and wonderfully, she responded.

Malaya got up and went to the bathroom to freshen up a little. When she came back she climbed onto the bed, where Malachi handed her the tray with her awaiting breakfast. She kindly took it and told him to get into bed with her. He did as she asked and they had breakfast together it was somewhat a silent one where they made glances at each other now and again. After a few more minutes they were finished eating and Malachi once again took the tray and made his way to the kitchen to clean up, while Malaya went to have a quick shower.

When he made it to the kitchen he called his secretary so that she could get something for her to wear since she didnt have a change of clothes.

In around twenty-five minutes his secretary was at his house handing him a bag containing the suit for Malaya. After she left, Malachi brought the bag to the room and removed its contents placing them neatly on the bed. Then he got back to his cleaning. Soon after, Malaya was downstairs next to Malachi. She suggested that they went for a walk and he agreed. They made light conversations as they went along.

I cant remember the last time I went for a walk. It has been ages, Malachi mentioned.

I bet it has, Malaya responded.

But it would do you some good. Its very soothing isnt it? She asked.

Indeed it is Malachi answered as he glanced sideways at her making her blush.

They walked and talked for a while not realizing that they have lost track. In what seemed like a short space of time they have covered a lot of distance. They soon catch on and made their way back to the house. Malaya informed him that she had to get home to complete some coursework that needed to be done. So she gathered whatever she had at the house and he led her to the car where they both got in. Then they were off.

It didnt take long for them to get to her house. At the doorstep they kissed and said their goodbyes. Malaya went inside got around her desk and dived right into her pending assignments. She was so caught up she didnt realize she hadnt even eaten anything. In that moment Malachi called to check on her. He had a feeling that she wouldnt have had anything to eat and went ahead and order her some take out at a restaurant nearby. The doorbell rang and she went to see who it was while still talking on the phone.

She was surprised to see a delivery guy standing there with a bag. He handed her the bag and was about to leave when she told him she didnt order anything thats when Malachi shipped in saying he took the liberty of doing it for her. She told the delivery guy whose name was Cory thanks and went inside.

Thank you my wonderful boyfriend, thats if we are at that stage as yet. I love the sentiment, Malaya told Malachi.

Oh we definitely are at that stage, Malachi responded smiling to himself.
