This was a shocker. He did not expect her to say that at all or at least hoped that she didn't say that. All he could do was stare at her at that moment. He wasn't blinking and he wasn't moving. Malaya realized the effect that had on him and it felt all too good to get pay back for what he did. She wanted to burst out into laughter but couldn't.

"So this was what you meant when you said you needed space?" Malachi asked.

Malaya had to admit, that stung a little. But she needed to hold her composure for a while longer. Let him suffer the way she did when he tried to force her to be with his son.

"No. That wasn't what I meant, but it sort of just happened," she told him.

She saw that he was getting angrier. Which made her began to feel sorry for him she wanted to cave in but told herself she got to be strong. Malachi shook his head.

"So instead of telling me you've moved on and that it just happened. You left me pining over you giving you space until you decided to come back when all along you had no thought of coming back."

"Just tell me this, answer this one question. Are you happy?"

"Yes I am happy," Malaya said.

"Okay that's all I needed to know. I'm leaving," Malachi said then turned around and began to walk off.

He had never been so angry in his entire life. The thought of going back inside and punching that douche in his face sounded so satisfying but, he had a reputation to uphold. And no doubt she would definitely hate him more. He was a good distance away since his strides were long when he heard her calling out to him that he should wait. What could she possibly want now, to rub it in even more? He already got the picture. Nevertheless he halted and turned around only to see her running towards him. This was the first time he saw her run. He thought the only time he would see her run is when she was running away from him and not towards him. Shaking his naughty thoughts out of his mind he focused on her getting closer.

She jumped right into his arms and both of them stumbled back but he caught her. He wasn't expecting her to do that. Then she kissed him. Nor was he expecting her to do that. She was full of surprises tonight. He held her face and deepened the kiss. Afterall she kissed him so maybe she wasn't worried about her boyfriend seeing them. When he was satisfied he pulled away from her.

"You hurt me so bad. How could you when you said you wouldn't? You even added blackmail," Malaya accused.

"I said I was sorry babe. I was such a fool please forgive me, let me make it up to you," Malachi begged.

"It's too late for that," she informed him.

"Oh right I forgot you have a boyfriend now," Malachi said.

"He's not my boyfriend, he's my friend and that was just payback."

"You got me good then."

"I don't understand. If it hurt that much seeing me with another guy how would you bear seeing me with your son?" Malaya questioned a little puzzled.

"I honestly didn't think that through babe I was just trying to do right by both of you" Malachi explained.

"I also forgot to mention that he isn't my biological son. He's my brother's child but he died in a car accident and Chadwell was still young so I raised him as my own. Of course when he got older I told him and he understood. I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner."

Well that was something she didn't thought of Malaya said to herself. She didn't really take notice to anything she just went along with the fact that he said Chadwell was his son. She didn't think about the age difference or anything.

"So how can I make it up to you?" he asked.

"Well you can bite my ass to start then go from there. So will you?" she asked him with a wink.

"Yes maam!" he replied while biting his lips.

Then I guess you are forgiven.

He then pulled her in for a kiss making sure his arms were wrapped tightly around her because he was never letting go, ever.
