"Are you crazy? Are you out of your mind? That's insane. Why would I do that?" Malaya shouted after pushing back her chair and standing abruptly.

She was getting angry. She couldn't believe Malachi would stoop this low. He knew she needed that scholarship she was barely meeting her payments for school and now he wanted to withdraw the scholarship.

"How could you be so cruel? After all we've been through she screamed at him as the tears made their way down her cheek.

She used her hand to quickly wipe them away. Stupid tears she said in her mind. Whenever she got angry the tears would come because of the pent up things that needed to out. Malachi felt really badly about doing this to her he hated having to hurt her. He never wanted to see her cry and worse he didn't want to make her cry. Cursing himself in his mind he looked down at his desk. Why did he have to say that? He should have just continued telling her to giving Chadwell a second chance until she agreed. Now he had gone and messed up and made her cry. He had to admit what he said about the scholarship was terrible and he was shocked that he went there but he didn't know what else to do. He was just trying to help his son since he cared about her and she wouldn't talk to him.

Shit he should have made his son beg and grovel on his own and not tried to help. Look what kind of mess he was in now. He wanted to punch himself in the head. Maybe he should have just stepped aside and let them try and work it out.

"I'm so sorry Malaya I didn't mean that. The situation is just a mess." Malachi apologized.

"There's no mess Malachi, it's just you and me. I choose you Malachi. I want you, not Chadwell. Why can't you get that? She pleaded while the tears rushed down her face.

It seemed as if he was deaf. How many times would she have to tell him that she only wanted him for him to get it? Malaya wondered. She stood staring at him waiting for him to say something. Malaya could see the hurt and confusing in his eyes and she wished he would just drop the subject and let them make up. He was being stubborn and unrealistic. Minutes passed and nothing. Malaya stood waiting and was feeling a bit irritated and agitated. He looked up and their eyes met. She wanted to just jump into his arms. But didn't dare she was so upset with him.

It was so hard battling between loving someone and being upset with them. Yes she loved him she admitted. She didn't know when she started but she did and she didn't want them to break up after she had just admitted it to herself, after she had just found out. She wondered if he loved her too. Well obviously not if he was here spitting this nonsense. But in a way she had to understand Chadwell was his son he was just trying to do what's best for him, or what he thought was best. Because clearly this wasn't best she had made it clear that there was nothing between them.

"Please Malaya just give him another chance I'm sure he won't mess this one up," Malachi begged.

Malaya's eyes opened wide as saucers. He had got to be kidding me she said to herself. She wanted to go punch him in the face. Shaking with anger and frustration this conversation was just a waste of time. It was just going in circles. Going over to where he sat Malaya pulled him up by the collar and looked into his eyes. They were so close that if he lowered his head they would kiss.

"Since you don't care about me or us and keep talking about me dating your son this relationship is over. I will never date your son he doesn't care about anyone but himself. As for the scholarship you can keep it I don't need it. I will find a way on my own," she informed him aggressively.

Then she released his collar and walked out of his office leaving the door wide open.
