Derricks Party pt.2

Tonis P.O.V

As we walked up the pathway to Derrick's house I saw just about the whole school there. People was calling me and Liyah left and right. Walking into the house there was just as many people inside as there was outside if not more. On one wall there was a group of guys and girls talking and laughing, another wall people drinking. Looking over I saw my ex Jason.

"Ayo Toni!"

"What?"

"That ass still looking right." He said with a stupid grin in his face.

I rolled my eyes, flipped him off and walked away. What the hell was I thinking when we got together he's such an ass. In the midst of my thoughts I wasn't paying attention and walked into somebody. I looked up to see Derrick looking down at me.

"My bad lil mama, you good?"

I looked at him and smiled. "Yeah I'm good, are you?"

He licked his lips and smiled. Yup I got him right where I want him.

Liyahs P.O.V

I had lost Toni a while ago. I had danced a little bit now I need to sit down and rest. I sat on the nearest couch and took a deep breath. Not too long after I sat down somebody sat next to me. I looked over to see who it was. I had never seen him before but he wasn't hard to look at. He was brown skin had a nice smile and dimples.

"Hi." He said smiling over at me.

"Hey."

"You having fun?"

"Yeah, are you?"

"Yeah I guess."

We stopped talking for a few seconds.

"So what's your name?" He asked trying to making conversation again.

"Aliyah but everybody calls me Liyah, what's your name?"

"Devin."

"Your name is nice."

He smiled. "Thanks yours isn't too bad either. "

We shared a little laugh. Just then Good Kisser started playing.

"Ooh I love this song!" I said getting excited.

"You wanna go dance?"

I thought about it for second. "Yeah sure."

We got up and made our way to the dance floor. We danced to a couple more songs then It Won't Stop came on.

I looked up at Devin. "You wanna keep dancing?"

"Yeah if you want to."

"I don't mind."

We moved closer and started slow dancing. I know it sounds corny but it just felt right. I looked and saw the couples dancing and kissing. I put my head on his chest and his hands tightened around my waist. I closed my eyes and just lived in the moment. We were snapped out of our movie moment by guys shouting. Just then Toni came over to where Devin and I was standing.

"What's going on?" I asked her.

"I don't know they were over there talking and somebody must've said something out the way and now they over there about to fight."

Everybody was watching and then one of the guys pulled out a gun. People started running and screaming, then a shot went off. Devin grabbed my hand and was pulling me to get out the house, I grabbed onto Toni and pulled her with us. Outside was chaotic.

I turned to Devin. "Thanks, you okay?"

"Yeah I'm good."

There was sirens coming.

"Liyah we gotta go." Toni said pulling me to her car. I looked back at Devin and waved. He waved back and then a group of boys I'm guessing his friends came up to him. Soon as we got in the car Toni pulled off. Tonight was one hell of a night.
