Trip To The Mall

Liyahs P.O.V

We finished eating and put the dishes in the dishwasher. I quickly went upstairs and laid on Toni's bed.

"So what was you and my brother nasty asses doing?" Toni asked

"Shut up, we wasn't doing anything."

"Mhm I bet, don't y'all be making no Auntie early and remember he legal."

"Toni shut your ass up." I said laughing. "Lets go to the mall."

"Alright get ready."

I got up and did my hygiene. I went into Tonis' closet to pick out what to wear. I decided to do something simple and put on some light wash shorts and a fitted t-shirt with Tupac on it. I put my hair up into a high ponytail and put on my diamond studs that I had on last night. I went on instagram and saw people posting the pictures from last night. I wonder what that whole altercation was about. My mind then drifted to Devin, he was so attractive and nice. It may sound weird but the connection I felt with him when we were dancing was amazing. I don't know maybe it was just the moment or something but I wonder if I'll ever see him again. I need to stop all I know is his first name and I'm over here sounding all sprung. Toni came into the room.

"And what's got you all in deep thought?" Toni asked while brushing out her hair.

"Nothing serious."

"You gonna stop giving me these basic ass answers."

I chuckled. "It was nothing, I promise."

"Mhm, you ready to go?"

"I been ready I was sitting here waiting on your slow ass."

"Shutup I had to get this weave right."

I laughed and shook my head and got up so we could leave. We got into the car and was on our way. The drive to the mall was hilarious because we had the music blasting with all the windows down just acting a fool. When flawless remix came on we really showed out. We were singing and rapping the song like we were performing at a concert. I'm surprised we didn't get pulled over. We finally got to the mall and started shopping like our lives depended on it. We went to all the stores that we wanted to go to.

"What time is it?" Toni asked me.

I looked down at my phone. "5:50."

"I don't feel like going home yet, do you?"

"Not really. You wanna go watch a movie?"

"Oh yeah let's go see Addicted, I heard it's good."

"Alright I'm down."

"Okay but let's go put these bags in the car."

"Alright but we gotta make it quick because the next showing is in a half hour."

After dropping off the bags to the car we we were walking to the movie theater. I loved this movie theater because for one it's always clean and two it's in the mall.

"Uh oh." I heard Toni say.

"What?" I asked looking at her.

"Isn't that your bae from last night?"

I looked up and saw Devin and another boy walking towards us.

"Hey." He said smiling at me.

"Hi." I replied shyly. It got awkwardly quiet for a second.

"Hi, I'm her best friend Toni."

"Hey Toni, this is my brother Dre."

Dre and Toni greeted each other. I saw him looking her up and down and she did too.

"You like what you see?" She's so bold and outspoken.

"Well obviously, you like what you see?" She gave him a sly smile. It appears that she has met her match.

"So what are you girls doing?" Devin asked looking at me.

"Well we are going to the movies."

"Oh really we were too."

"So why were you walking the opposite way?"

"I just forgot what direction it was in, you know this is a big mall." He smiled at me again.

I couldn't help but smile. "What you going to see?" I asked just to mess with him.

"Umm that new movie that just came out."

I laughed at his poor attempt to try to make something up. "Just come on."

We got to the movie just in time. I sat with Devin and Toni sat with Dre of course. From time to time I could see Devin looking at me out the corner of my eye. I looked over at Toni who was laughing at something Dre was telling her. I smiled because they looked like they would be a cute couple. Once the movie was over we went to Fridays. The whole dinner was funny between Devin and Dre making jokes and Toni and Dre challenging eachother. After all of that we were ready to go.

"So can I get your number this time?" Devin asked me.

"Oh yeah." We switched phones and put our numbers in there.

Toni P.O.V

"So you should let me get your number." Dre said smirking at me.

"Oh I should?"

"Yup."

"I don't know if I like you like that and I'm kinda talking to somebody."

"Oh y'all been talking for a long time?"

"No not at all."

"Alright so then its nothing serious?"

"Not really."

"So what's the problem?"

"I just didn't want you to feel played."

"I would feel played if you don't give me your number."

I finally gave in and we put each others numbers in our phone. We hugged and him and Devin left. Me and Liyah went to the car. She was looking all dreamy eyed.

"Well damn you looking like you got the D." I said laughing.

"Shut up, look at you with two guys."

"Girl please it ain't even like that."

"Don't even sit here and say you don't like Dre just a little bit."

I bit my lip to trying to hide my smile. "He aight."

"Mhm whatever."

So far this summer is turning out to be better than I thought.
