Liyah P.O.V
Right now all I heard was beeping and voices. One the voices was my mom. I was awake but didn't feel like opening my eyes. I could hear the slight panic in my mother's voice as she talked on the phone so I decided to let her know I was awake.
"Ma relax."
She got off the phone immediately.
"Oh Liyah are you okay?"
"I could be better I guess." Then I realized something. "Where's Toni?" All the events that took place began running through my head and I remember the gun going off.
"She's in the hallway, I'll go get her and the doctor."
A few seconds later Toni came running in.
"Oh my god Liyah, are you alright? You scared me so much! This is all my fault I should have just not went or not drag you into th-.
"Toni relax." I said cutting her off before she could ramble anymore. "It's fine, what would've happened to you if I wasn't there. Trust me things could've been worse. What happened anyway?"
"Do you remember anything that happened?"
"I remembered everything that happened up to when we went outside, then I started losing it."
"Well we got outside, you were breathing heavy and then we turned and saw Derrick standing in the door with a gun. As soon as police saw that they shot him and you passed out." She explained. I faintly remember seeing Derrick with the gun but I don't remember seeing him get shot.
"So what happened to Derrick. Did they kill him?"
"No, they shot to injure him but he's in custody. You're gonna have to answer some questions about what happened though."
"Alright that's fine." Just then the doctor and my mother came back in the room.
"Hi Aliyah I'm Dr.Smith, how are you feeling?"
"I'm alright I guess. My nose is very sore and I'm having a little bit of trouble breathing out of it but other than that I'm okay."
"That's because you have a nasal fracture or in other words a broken nose, what you're experiencing is normal as well as the bruising under the eyes and swelling. Lucky for you it isn't out of position so all you have to do is rest and be very careful not to hit it. It should be healed in about 3 to 4 weeks."
I nodded my head taking in all the information. "So what made me pass out?"
"Well appears you suffered a bad panic attack. Have you ever had one of those?"
"No, that was my first one."
"Okay well in cases when it's not common an attack can come from an overwhelming amount of stress or being put in a very scary situation."
No wonder I passed out that was the worst situation I was ever in.
"Is there a possibility that this can cause her to have more of these attacks?" My mother asked.
"There is a chance but a very small one."
"Okay thank you."
"No problem." Dr.Smith said turning and walking out the room.
"So are you okay?" I asked Toni.
"Yeah just a few bruises and scratches but I'm good." She said giving a half smile.
"Both of you know how dangerous that was right?" My mom stated more than asked.
"Yeah Ms. Tasha. I just didn't think things would go so far left, if anything I thought we would argue but I never saw it getting physical."
