In the street, wrapped tightly under my cloak

In the street, wrapped tightly under my cloak.
Feeling really bad; I headed for a walk.
Never looking at anyone, and not ready to talk.

The cold makes me collapse in my skin.
You pass by wearing a massive grin,
It made my heart ready to sway and spin.

I wished you were some kind of a friend,
You should've looked for my sorrowful self to mend,
But this friendship didn't even start, to end.

Seeming really helpful and kind,
I can't get your face out of my mind.
Yet I'm afraid of another stab from behind.

Still walking to meet agonizing eyes,
Some of hesitant girls, others of doubtful guys.
The sound elevated with childrens' cries.

Everyone is already busy sinking in their own world,
Whether you're unhappy or a smile on your lips is curled.
You'll always keep looking for your dreamworld.

Under a tree, I decided to share with you the place;
To make you cross my personal space,
But this was a really quick and naïve case.

You turned out to be the same,
I really deserve the pain and the blame.
Not learning from your mistakes is a shame.

The weather was colder, and it started to snow.
With every minute, my expectations became low.
I'll never again talk to anyone I don't know.
