Chapter 15 -A Night To Remember-

Mystogen's POV

As Yang and Weiss prepared the ballroom for the dance, Ruby and I were sitting at one of the tables. Ruby was looking pretty down as of late most likely to the fact of Blake overworking herself and not coming to the dance.

Weiss slammed to pieces of cloth on to the table making Ruby jump, "I need the two of you to pick a tablecloth,"

We both looked at the cloths and they looked the same, Ruby looked at them having a confused look on her face, "Aren't they both the same?"

"I gotta to agree with Red, they look the same," I said looking at Weiss.

Weiss sighed, "I don't even know why I asked,"

Yang sets down a giant stereo speaker making the table and chairs that we sat on jump slightly, she walked over to us, "So, have you two picked out what your wearing yet?"

"What's the point?" Ruby said having her head laid on the table, "Who care about the dance if Blake isn't going?"

"Oh don't worry she's going," Yang said confidently, "What about you Myst,"

"I don't plan on going," I said plainly.

"And why's that?"

"Now don't get me wrong I would love to go but I have some bigger thing to worry about,"

Ghost appeared next to me, "No, he going don't worry,"

Yang smiled, "Good. Weiss! I thought we agree, no doilies!"

I looked at Ghost, "Excuse me what?"

"You need a break Mystogen," Ghost said, "Remeber the last time you went on this kind of investigation,"

 I was silent for a moment and let out a sigh, "Yeah, your right," My ghost was right when I was on an investigation like this and got only a few clues that never really help, I pushed away friends and told myself that the investigation was the most important. I snapped out of my train of thought to the sound of a door opening, I looked to see Neptune and Sun walking up to us.

"Your dance is going to have fog machines?" Neptune said.

"We were thinking about it," Weiss said.

"You ladies all excited for dress up?" Sun spoke.

"Pfft, yeah right," Ruby said.

"Excuse me I'm a man thank you so kindly," I said jokingly.

"Laugh all you want Ruby, I'll be turning heads tomorrow night," Yang said.

"What are you two wearing?" Weiss asked.

"Uh, this," Sun said pointing to his open shirt.

"Ignore him, for he knows not what he says," Neptune said.

"Het I may have moved to Mistral, but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly a shirt-and-tie kinda place,"

"So we've noticed," I said.

"So, uh what does Blake think of all this? She still being all, ya know... Blake-y?" Sun asked.

"Obviously," Weiss said crossing her arms.

"I still can't think of a way to change her mind," Ruby said.

"Guys, trust me Blake will be at the dance tomorrow," Yang said walking out of the ballroom.

"Well I think it's time for me and Mystogen to get going," Ghost said.

"Wait where are we going?" I asked getting up.
