I told Alfred the address of my mom's apartment, so we drove off. As he steered through the neoghborhood, the other guys helped fill me in on their situation.

Apparently, these six had been vactioning along with Feliciano, Lovino, Ludwig, Gilbert, Kiku, Vladimir, Mathais, Luks, Emil, Tino and Berwald. Because of Arthur's magic mishap, the former Axis and Allies appear to be teenagers; instead of the 20-25 year-olds in the anime. The spell also turned the Nordics into cats, who can only talk in their native languages. Vladimir was the only one seemingly unaffected. Everyone had agreed that it would be best to stay in the area until someone found a counterspell. The Axis and Allies went to school to blend in as normal teens.

"So, if there's seventeen of you, albeit five are cats, where the heck do you live? That many teenage guys seems like it would arose some suspicion," I decide to point out. I look at Arthur and Yao, who have been best at explaining the situation.

"Well, actually no one has paid us any mind. And actually, we all live in the same house together." Arthur answers.

"Really? How the heck do you all fit in a rental house? If it's anything like my mom's, there's only three bedrooms." I'm unable to figure out how it was possible.

"This house has four bedrooms. We have three people per room, plus a cat each, with one exception."

I smile to myself, knowing exactly which two cats were lucky enough to be roomed together. Que my mental SuFin fangirling.

Yao continues Arthur's statement. "However, that may need to change slightly. We don't know how long you'll have to stay with us." The guys who aren't driving look at each other, sharing expressions of unease.

I grin. "Don't worry, I think I've got an idea."

At this point, we've reached my mom's house, except her car is already in the driveway.

"Putain!" I yelled, in French. (God damn it!)

"Zhat is not very lady-like." Francis scolded me half-heartedly.

"She's not supposed to be home yet! If she realizes what I'm doing, we're all screwed!" I defend my self. "Look, here's the plan: Yao come inside with me, we'll pretend I got sick at school and you guys were nice enough to bring me home. When Yao comes back, just drive around the corner and wait there if I'm not out yet. He'll tell you whatever my mom says, and I'll meet you as soon as I can slip away. Got it?" I look around to see everyone nodding. 'Good, and don't let my mom see you. She knows enough about the anime that she might recognize you. Yao, come on." I climb slowly out of the vehicle, an arm wrapped loosely aroud my midsection.

Yao walks alongside me, carrying my bag. "Why did you ask me to come with you?" He studies me, as if trying to see if I was actually sick. My mom would believe it if he did.

"You are my witness, to help make the story believeable. Plus, you're the least recognizable to my mom.' I explain quietly to him as we approach the front door. I turn the knob to let us in, and my mom's worried face is already there.

"Zera, sweetie, what's wrong? Are you sick?" She started fussing over me immediately.

"I threw up, that's all. The nurse told me to go home, and since I didn't know if you'd be able to get out of work, my new friends offered to give me a ride. This is Bao-Zhi, he's a Chinese exchange student." I lie. Looking out of the corner of my eye, I see Yao accept my explanation without his expression changing noticably.

Yao puts my backpack on a hook, then turns to my mom. "The nurse said it was probably just a stomach bug or nerves. She should be fine within a day." I nod at his words.

"Okay. Zera, why don't you go lay down and rest for a bit." She points toward the stairs.

"Yeah, mom. But why are you home early?" I ask as I shuffle away, still facing her.

"I figured I would try to unpack a few more boxes over my lunch break. I should probably head back, but I could stay home if you need me to." My mother tilted her head, observing me.

I waved my hand nonchalantly, dismissively. "Nah, I'm fine. Go back to work, I'll be fine. Oh, and thanks for the ride Bao." I grin at him, winking when my mother wasn't looking.

"Not a problem. We'll see you around, right?" His eyes are shining at the hidden meaning. I nod at him, then ascend the stairs to my room.

"Okay, sweetie, I'm going to head back to work, then. Feel better, ok?" My mother calls after me.

"Yup." I sit on my bed, watching the window for the moment her car leaves. I watch the guys pull out and drive one way, then I see my mother go in the other direction.

Standing up, I grab my bag of valuables, an extra bag of clothes, my wallet, and my phone. I head out of the house with my stuff, and walk down the block and around the corner. I see where the guys are waiting, and climb in. I had one thing to say: "Let the fun begin!"
